This book was released on 2001 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The two principal components of the national model regulations are: 1. information provisions, and 2. assessment and control provisions. The information provisions address the delivery of specific information, eg. labels and material safety data sheets, that the supplier of a workplace substance has to provide through the employer to employees. These provisions also ensure that employee representatives, relevant public authorities and emergency services are also provided with access to relevant information. The assessment and control provisions require employers to identify hazardous substances in the workplace, make an assessment of those hazards which arise out of the work activity and then take appropriate action.
