Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Vedic culture is accepted by numerous scholars as one of the most sophisticated civilizations to appear after the last glacial period of 12,000 years ago. It developed in ancient India, and as the people populated the region, they also expanded and spread into other parts of the planet, taking much of their culture with them. This book takes us on a journey through history and across many countries as we point out similarities and remnants of the Vedic tradition that remain there to this day. These include forms of art, philosophy, religion, architecture, temples, ways of living, and so on. Such countries include: Nepal, Burma, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Africa, the Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Central Asia, Greece, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ireland, Scandinavia, the Americas, and more. This book also explains: * How many religions in the world have features that clearly descended from the oldest form of spiritual knowledge and truth as found in Vedic Dharma. * How Vedic Dharma is still relevant today and can help establish peace through its timeless spiritual wisdom. * It also helps unravel and reveal the true nature of the Vedic civilization, and how and why it infiltrated and contributed to so many areas and cultures of the world. * It also shows a mysterious side of history that few others have recognized. This book will help anyone understand how the advanced nature of the Vedic civilization and its universal spiritual principles fit into the development of so many other cultures and still contributes to the upliftment of society today. This book is the follow-up of a previous volume called "Proof of Vedic Culture's Global Existence," but with completely different information and resources, as well as updates, written in a more academic style, using hundreds of references, quotes and notes to verify all the information that is used.

Book Mysteries of the Rig Veda

Download or read book Mysteries of the Rig Veda written by Henry Romano and published by DTTV PUBLICATIONS. This book was released on with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To what extent is lost knowledge, advanced technology, and advanced philosophy encoded in the hymns of the Rigveda before we attempt to describe it? Is it possible to comprehend the true meaning of a book written in the remotest ages of Indian literature? Identifying the appropriate method of interpretation for that ancient body of poetry is the key to answering this question. All ancient Indian texts contain old lost technology; take, for instance, the concept of the Vimana. When the Rigveda first became known, scholars, as yet only familiar with the language and literature of classical Sanskrit, discovered that the Vedic hymns were composed in a mysterious ancient dialect and embodied an entirely different world of ideas than those they were familiar with. Hand-carved cave temples near Bellary in Southern India were vast and intricately carved from rock. Almost insurmountable difficulties hindered the interpretation of these hymns. A comprehensive commentary on the Rigveda exists that explains or paraphrases every word of its accolades. In the fourteenth century A.D., the great Vedic scholar Sayama lived in Vijayanagara ("City of Victory"), one of ancient India's most critical lost cities. His constant references to ancient authorities are believed to have preserved the Rigveda's true meaning in a traditional interpretation dating back thousands of years.

Book Sanskrit Mysteries of Vedic India

Download or read book Sanskrit Mysteries of Vedic India written by Henry Romano and published by DTTV PUBLICATIONS. This book was released on with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Located in the city of Dwaraka, on the west coast of India in Gujarat, is the famous temple of Dwarakadhish, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna, the Lord of Dwaraka. Among the seven holy cities of India, it is considered to be one of the most sacred. Another list includes Ayodhya, Mathura, Haridwar, Varanasi, Kanchipuram, and Ujjain. It is believed that the original temple of Dwarakadhish was built by the great-grandson of Krishna, Vajranabha, on the ruins of Krishna's own palace, which survived the tsunami intact. The ancient, famed city of Dwaraka did exist during the Krishnavatara's reign some five thousand years ago. It is no longer visible since it lies at the bottom of the ocean. The poets, writers, saints, and sages of ancient India have all praised the majesty and beauty of Dwaraka. Several Hindu texts, including the Srimad Bhagavatam, the Skanda Purana, the Vishnu Purana, Harivamsha, and the Mahabharata, refer to it as the "Golden City.". A verse in the Bhagavatam says: "The golden fort of Dwaraka City had its yellow glitter all around it, as if the flames of Vadavagni (the fire of eternity) had come out and tore the sea asunder." It was a thriving port and had a harbor on an island nearby. Dwaraka must have been the largest port on the Indian coast during the third millennium BC according to the number, size, and variety of stone anchors. Some fifty stone anchors are visible, but hundreds have been buried in the sediment. It is probably because of this that the city received its name. Dwaraka, which means "gate" in Sanskrit, was perhaps the gate that enabled ancient civilizations to access the ports. Cities of the West used seafaring to enter India's vast subcontinent. Ka in Sanskrit also means "Brahma," so perhaps it was devoted to Brahma, the creator of the Hindu trinity.

This book was released on 2012 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. From the Vedic culture of ancient India thousands of years ago, we find the origins of such things as mathematics, especially algebra and geometry, as well as early astronomy and planetary observations, many instances of which can be read in the historical Vedic texts. Medicine in Ayurveda was also the first to prescribe herbs for the remedy of disease, surgical instruments for operations, and more. Other developments that were far superior and ahead of the rest of the world include:* Writing and language, especially the development of sophisticated Sanskrit;* Metallurgy and making the best known steel at the time;* Ship building and global maritime trade; * Textiles and the dying of fabric for which India was known all over the world;* Agricultural and botanical achievements;* Precise Vedic arts in painting, dance and music;* The educational systems and the most famous of the early universities, like Nalanda and Takshashila;* The source of individual freedom and fair government, and the character and actions of rulers; * Military and the earliest of martial arts;* Along with some of the most intricate, deep and profound of all philosophies and spiritual paths, which became the basis of many religions that followed later around the world. These and more are the developments that came from India, much of which has been forgotten, but should again be recognized as the heritage of the ancient Indian Vedic tradition that continues to inspire humanity.

Book Ancient India Rise and Fall

Download or read book Ancient India Rise and Fall written by A.J. Carmichael and published by . This book was released on with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In ancient Indian history, there were four significant eras as highlighted below, a quick introduction is important in order to digest the material in this book. Prehistoric era: From 500,000 BCE to 11,000 BCE, South Asian hunter-gatherers made stone tools and painted cave paintings at Bhimbetka during the Old and Middle Stone Ages. Merhgarh, in Baluchistan, was where South Asian farming began between 11,000 and 3000 years ago. From 2500 BCE to 1900 BCE, the great Indian cities of Mohenjo Daro and Harappa provide us with much archaeological evidence. Eras of India: Vedic and post-Vedic, No Aryan invasion took place, but a nomadic group of Indo-European speakers migrated from Iran and Afghanistan, calling themselves Arya, or the noble. Over the past four millennia, Indo-Aryan culture has developed uniquely within India, blending the values and heritages of the Arya and indigenous peoples. In the Indo-European language family, the Rig Veda is the oldest text. Among the three Vedas and other complementary Vedic literature, it is a crucial text in Vedic Hinduism. We have today's vast agricultural infrastructure in north India due to the expansion of the Indo-Aryans from Punjab to the Ganga basin. Mahajanapadas (great states) were formed from the Vedic polity, which Magadha dominated. Northwest India was invaded by both the Persians and the Greeks later in this period. Ajivakas, Buddhists, and Jains objected to the caste system, animal sacrifices, brahman dominance, and the Vedas in Vedic Hinduism. The Great Empires lasted from about 300 BCE to c. AD 500. From Chandragupta Maurya's Arthashastra, an excellent manual of political economy, we can understand the principles of the Mauryan Empire, founded from Magadha in 321 BCE. With the help of many rock and pillar inscriptions, Ashoka humanized the empire and propagated Buddha's principles. The smaller Shaka, Kushan, and Satavahana kingdoms followed the Mauryan Empire. A flourishing agricultural industry and trade, both domestic and international, contributed significantly to Indian prosperity during this period. China and Rome dominated trade between India and China. According to the Samanta philosophy of tolerant neighborliness, the Gupta Empire followed a model of decentralized power. The Hindu-Buddhist-Jain civilization reached its peak of elitism under the Guptas. Classical Indian culture refers to that. Throughout history, Buddhism has remained popular but has evolved into Mahayana Buddhism, which emphasizes the Bodhisattva. Buddhism, Sanskrit literature, and mathematics flourished in this era, as at Ajanta. The feudal era lasted from 500 AD to 1200 AD (and beyond). Among the most prominent post-Gupta regional and feudal kingdoms were those of King Harsha, the early Chalukyas, and the Pallavas. The kings maintained their power through large land grants, feudatory power, and patronage systems. During the eleventh and twelfth centuries, the aggressive and iconoclastic Turco-Afghans quickly invaded India due to the inter-Indian wars waged by the Gurjara-Pratihara, Pala, and Rashtrakuta kingdoms. The deep south remained highly dynamic and Hindu under the Pallavas and Cholas. The Vedic and Puranic forms of Hinduism gradually replaced Buddhism in India, while the holy and puranic forms of Hinduism stayed. Muslim power, embodied in the slave dynasty of Qutb-ud-Din Aybak, entrenched itself in north India from 1206 onward, paving the way for Indo-Islamic culture to flourish.
