Charles and Sullivan Webb's happy home life comes crashing down around them after Sullivan is critically injured in a car accident. Charles is faced with having to choose between saving the life of his pregnant wife or that of his unborn child. Lawson Banks had barely gotten used to the idea of being a stepmother to husband Garrett's love child when her teenage son, Namon, informs her that she is about to become a grandmother. Lawson struggled as a teen parent, and she will stop at nothing to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. Angel and Duke King pray that the third time is the charm for their turbulent romance. All seems well until a female employee accuses Duke of attempted sexual assault after an overnight business trip. Given his past, Angel is torn between standing by her man and taking the word of his accuser. After secretly eloping, Reginell and Mark Vinson are basking in wedded bliss, until Reginell is diagnosed with endometriosis. Not only does her subsequent hysterectomy terminate any chance of conceiving a child, but Reginell also suffers unforeseen consequences. After failing to get her own reality show off the ground, Kina manages to secure a lucrative book deal. Her publisher assigns Desdemona Price to be Kina's ghostwriter, and the two become fast friends—until Desdemona starts to insert herself into the lives of Kina's friends and it becomes apparent that she has a hidden agenda of her own. The ladies have always been able to rely on God and each other, but even those things that were once most familiar now seem foreign. For the first time, they begin to question if their friendships are more of a hindrance than a help, and if God is even listening.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Woman, Thou Too Art Called, is a true story of spiritual dilemma, spiritual encounters, tragic moments, and over twenty years of running away from God to escape answering his call to preach. Women are not readily accepted as preachers by men as well as by some women. If a woman has been taught throughout life that this is not the norm, that this is outside the will of God, then what is she to do when she is being pulled in that direction? Thus, the spiritual dilemma evolves. God hates our disobedience. However, because he is so merciful and so full of grace, he gives us chance after chance after chance to come into obedience and subjection to him. He creates situations and circumstances in our lives to get our attention and to bring us to a place of humility and understanding so that he can use us for his glory. The problem is that we don't always want what God wants for us. Hence, the flesh begins to war against the spirit. Like Jonah, who spent three days in the belly of the fish, God will allow us to run only for so long. But in the end, he will have the last word. His will is always done. Oftentimes, people run from situations and their circumstances because of fear. Fear has the tendency to paralyze us and make us see things in the darkest and most negative way. Jonah ran out of fear. I ran because I didn't want to give up my lifestyle. In my finite mind, I thought I was doing just fine. God had other plans, and although he allowed me to run my course, he made sure that in the end, I knew just who was in charge of my life. God is always in complete control.

This book was released on 2024-04-17 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "What about you? You know you can't just drink your troubles away." "Hey, don't judge me! I've had a crappy week," I scowl back at him defensively. Betrayed by a boyfriend and fired by the company. Worry clouds in his eyes, but it's gone in a blink of an eye, replaced by a mask of indifference. Suddenly, I fall out of the barstool, and strong arms swiftly wrap around my waist, stopping me from embarrassing myself further. "Woah, you okay?" his warm breath fans against the nape of my neck, sending tingles up my spine. Or maybe that's just the alcohol. He pulls me closer, his arms wrapping tightly around my upper body to keep me steady. I can feel the firmness of his abs pressing against my back, and I gasp. "That's enough for you, ma'am. Do you have someone to take you home?" the bartender asks. I would call Candy, but she's probably busy at work and I know after seeing me hammered like this, I would have to open up about my fucked up week and I'm still not looking forward to that. So, my only hope is the sexy stranger. I try to ask him to help me to my car, but my slurred words make it uncertain if he understood. He glares down at me, nostrils flaring, and firmly states, "No. I'm taking you home." *** Kiara Black and Trey Thompson have a one night stand after meeting each other at a bar, attempting to find solace from their personal problems. Days later, Kiara attends a welcome home party for her best friend's brother that she's never met before. After finding out that she accidentally slept with Candice's brother, she makes it her mission to avoid Trey at all cost, but he's determined to make her fall in love with him.

Book A Small Part of Me

    Book Details:
  • Author : Robert E. Wilson
  • Publisher : Xlibris Corporation
  • Release : 2016-09-09
  • ISBN : 1524536415
  • Pages : 119 pages

Download or read book A Small Part of Me written by Robert E. Wilson and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2016-09-09 with total page 119 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My Synopsis A Small Part of Me This book is composed of two different parts, which stems from my life experiences. Part one is titled Mixed Emotions and part two is Lifes Daily Trials. I use the name Jehovah because Margaret M. Johnson, my beautiful grandmother, spoke of Jehovah every day. Many cultures pray to different names in reference to God. This is the name I heard growing up with a grandmother who singly cared for as many as fourteen children in one household. My wonderful mother, Barbara W. Marsh, taught me its not how well-known you are, its what you do to become well-known. In order to get a friend, you first need to be one. Not all friends turn out to be as true friends as you are to them, but you learn as you go. Part one is about feelings of the mind, heart, and soul. As we become older, we, in turn, should become wiser. It doesnt happen with everyone because we all sometimes follow when we should lead. In following, I have suffered more than some and less than others, but only Jehovah knows how much either way. Part two is a compilation of short narratives. The intentions are to strengthen whoever is feeling down about something in their life mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. In time, promoting hope and shedding light on a negative lifestyle. Some of these narratives have changed things in my life that very few people know of today. I hope those that read this book will see that you dont need to go down the wrong path in order to do right. I hope and pray that this book will help you see some things within yourself that could be changed for the better. Each of us have some things that we have been through in life, but the name of the game is survival and education. Jehovah teaches us many things in everyday living, mostly through blessings. Temptation is always going to be there, but its up to each one of us to survive them. We can share our pain with others and hope that they can make a negative decision into a positive one. This book is based on my feelings, my emotions. Always trust and have faith in Jehovah not man, whom sometimes try to entice you into doing what you would consider as wrong. Its not worth the heartache and trouble, which you can never take back. Relationships, living, dating, and marriagetheyre not for everyone because not everybody is looking for the same things out of a commitment to one another. Know what you want before you act and how to go about getting it. It involves two souls with the same outlook on life to make things work, its never one-sided. Always be definite about what you want out of life and make it a goal, not a job, to get it. I hope this will educate and inspire others to speak their truths, reach for their goals, and never settle for less than the best. One should live life to the fullest, just as I have been inspired to do just that. Thank you and God bless. Robert Eugene Wilson
