Book Spiritualism is a philosophy of yesterday

Download or read book Spiritualism is a philosophy of yesterday written by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-21 with total page 8 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The main difference between Spiritualists and Spiritists is that the latter believe in the successive reincarnations of the human soul. The Spiritualists do not believe in reincarnation. There are two kinds of Spiritualists: There are genuine Spiritualists, who believe in the immortality of the spirit and the possibility of the living communicating with the spirits of the departed, either through pure mediums or by means of the Secret Science. And there are those fanatical Spiritualists, who blindly accept the claims of every “spirit.” But there is a far lesser abyss between the Spiritualists and the Theosophists than there is between the Protestants and the Roman Catholics. Spiritism is as opposed to our teachings as is Occultism to those of Allan Kardec. It is the Spiritists who would doom the Divine Monad to a terrible torment, filled with gross earthly experiences, without the smallest ray of spirituality to enlighten them!

Book Higher Self and Higher Ego

This book was released on 2018-02-11 with total page 19 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Higher Ego is the sole bearer of all its alter Egos on earth and their sole representative in the subjectivity of Devachan. Higher Ego, or Nous, is our true Individuality, that keeps reincarnating and clothing itself in a new personality at every new birth. Yet that noble and lofty Noetic Entity, that allows us to think and enjoy the boon of self-consciousness, is not ours. It belongs to Divine Entities from higher and earlier worlds and planets, whose Karma had not been exhausted when their world went into Pralaya. By quickening the human mind they purify themselves in the fire of suffering and individual experience in order to re-become the One Essence. And so can we, Their terrestrial reflection, if by purity of thought and deed we rise to Their plane and partake of Their divine essence. Philosophically, Higher Ego is the apex of a triangle. He is “crucified” between two Opposing Forces: the personal ray dragged down by impure, selfish desires on the left side, and the uplifting purity of thought and deed on the right. Higher Ego is Chrishna-Christos, the true Christ of the churches, our personal “god.” On the plane of matter, Chr?stos is Christos’ lower but aspiring counterpart — an uninitiated adept or higher chela about to be admitted into Gupta-Vidya, i.e., Occultism’s Greater Mysteries. Therefore, there are two Christs: one above and one below. Why? Because the Higher needs the Lower as much as the Lower needs the Higher, for “gods feed on men.” Some Theosophists got into the habit of using “Self” and “Ego” as synonymous, of associating “Self” with only man’s higher individual or even personal self or ego, whereas “Self” ought never to be applied except to the One Universal Self. Even those pledged to their Higher Self by solemn vows, and who were personally instructed by H.P. Blavatsky, did not seem to understand the indissoluble link connecting their “Higher Egos” with the One Universal Self. When their knowledge was examined, most could not explain the difference between the Higher and the Lower Self and scarcely any avoided a confusion between Higher Self and Higher Ego!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Kosmos is Abstract and Formless, because Homogeneous and Impartite, vehicle of all Universes to be. Cosmos is Receptive Nature or concrete World of Forms seemingly fragmented, “no better than an aberration of the ever-deceiving physical senses.” Kosmos is Boundless, because Omnipresent and Changeless. Cosmos is Finite, Impermanent, Self-modifying World. Kosmos is directed and controlled by the “Army” of Divine Sentient Beings. Cosmos is built and ruled by Sidereal Planetary Spirits and Deities. Kosmos is Eternal (Spiritual) Egg and Womb or Matri-Padma, Mother Lotus, of all Worlds to be. Cosmos is the Periodical (Mundane) Egg of our World fructified, yet immaculate, when a ray from the First Logos flashes from the latent Germ in the Heart of the Eternal. Kosmos is ever-concealed, unknown and unknowable noumena. Cosmos is perceptions and visible phenomena after a “Night of Brahma.” Kosmos is the “Father” Concealed and Unmanifested, the “Unknown God” of the Athenians. Cosmos is Plato’s Second God, giving birth to a “Son” or Universe.

Book Agnosticism Atheism Monism

Download or read book Agnosticism Atheism Monism written by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-07 with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Agnosticism is the modern variation on the ancient theme of the Greek philosopher, “All I know is that I know nothing.” Agnosticism is lack of reason, nescience rather than ignorance. Having found gnosis we cannot turn our backs on it and become agnostics, says a Master of Wisdom. The strong Agnostic assumes the negative position of knowing nothing but phenomena and refuses to believe in anything else. The weak Agnostic may be ready to entertain new ideas, but the light of Truth will always blind the religious bigot. With the exception of psychism, every other –ism is a shade of materialism — a science without a soul. Ancient pagans held far deeper views on the First Cause and its emanations than modern philosophers, whether Agnostics, Materialists or Christians. Agnostics have to choose between the Secret Doctrine of the East, and the materialistic Darwinian and Biblical Doctrines of the West. Agnosticism, Positivism, and Materialism are the worst enemies of Theosophy and Mysticism. Much of current agnostic speculation on the existence of the First Cause is little better than veiled Materialism. Between Agnostics and Catholics, the age revels at a debauch of phenomena. Brutal but frank Materialism is more honest than Janus-faced agnosticism in our days. Monism is no better than a mask concealing the void of final annihilation, even of consciousness. The Occultist would be guilty of treason, were he to demolish the old gods before he could replace them with the eternal verities that they represent. Atheists and Agnostics are thinly attracted to “godless” Buddhism, or to our highly philosophical and logical agnosticism. The “moral standard of the Theosophists” is TRUTH and this covers all. No sincere seeker of Truth can ever be found among the blind believers in the “Divine Word.” Our doctrine knows no compromises. It either affirms or denies, for it never teaches but that which it knows to be Truth.

Download or read book Adultery Lust Malice written by Bhagavan Das and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-07 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Manas-mind, its vehicle, kāma-desire, and their interplay with other minds through karma-action are hard concepts to grasp without an appreciation that they are a single dynamic trinity, and not three ontologically distinct ideas. In his Science of the Emotions, Bhagavān Dās undertakes a bold and incisive study of the continuum of Desire-Thought-Action, where he demonstrates elegantly and convincingly that “emotions” and “feelings,” mostly mixed and lumped together by the ignoramus, are none other than the workings of this occult triplet. Mastership of the mind’s pendular māyāvic movements, swinging back and forth from the Centre of Being, is prerequisite to success in whatever domain it chooses to focus upon. Dr. Dās identifies the essential nature of Desire, elaborates upon the duality of primordial e-motions and their endless permutations, and proceeds unravelling the aetiology of attitudes and their behavioural implications. His Science sheds light on man’s lower propensities which, if left unchecked, will go on demeaning character and disgracing kith and kin. He instructs, amuses, and enlightens the reader through a series of pithy essays. He even lays bare the distinguishing qualities between confusingly similar emotions, from Devotion and Worship, to Smile and Laughter. The Science of the Emotions remains the definitive text for those seeking knowledge of self and Self.

Book Budhism is Inner Wisdom

    Book Details:

  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 23 pages

Download or read book Budhism is Inner Wisdom written by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-07 with total page 23 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sinnett’s “Esoteric Buddhism” was an excellent work with a very unfortunate title. Esoteric BuDhism (spelled with one D), or Inner Wisdom (Sophia, in Greek), is a pre-Vedic term millennia older than 643 BCE, the year Siddhartha Gautama, Prince of Kapilavastu, was born. It has nothing to do with the BuDDhist religion whatsoever. An agnostic student of Theosophy puzzled by “Esoteric Buddhism.” Puzzle solved by Madame Blavatsky BuDDhism, the religious system of ethics preached by Lord Gautama and named after his title of BuDDha, the “Enlightened,” and BuDha or Inner Wisdom are totally unrelated terms. Long kalpas had passed before the epithet of Buddha became so humanised, as to allow the term to be applied to mortals and, finally, to Siddhartha Gautama. BuDhism is Archaic Wisdom-Religion. It reconciles all religions, strips every one of its outward, human garments, and shows the root of each to be identical with that of every other great religion. It proves the necessity of an immutable Divine Principle in nature but rejects the gods of monotheistic religions, sorry caricatures created by man in his own image and likeness. Truth is its god and dogma. Orthodox, Exoteric BuDDhism, or the public teachings of Gautama Buddha, differ greatly from the Secret Doctrine, or Esoteric BuDhism, that he had reserved for the initiated Brahmans of his day and his Arhats. Sinnett defends his “Esoteric Buddhism.” Though “Esoteric Buddhism” preceded “Isis Unveiled” and “The Secret Doctrine,” its contents are not original. His letter to “Lucifer,” annotated by Madame Blavatsky in her capacity as Editor of Lucifer.” Theosophy is not BuDDhism, whether Exoteric or Esoteric. Bodhi and Sophia are one and the same, supersensuous wisdom from within. Bodha, Bodhi, Buddha, Buddhi are one and the same, Divine Wisdom.

Book Svabhava and Svayambhu

    Book Details:
  • Author : Helena Petrovna Blavatsky
  • Publisher : Philaletheians UK
  • Release : 2018-02-14
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 14 pages

Download or read book Svabhava and Svayambhu written by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-14 with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Svabhava is the One Infinite Life and Law, visible and invisible. When from within the Circle of Infinity arises a Circle of Necessity or finiteness, it always does so under Immutable Law. This Law has three aspects corresponding to triple hypostasis of the Ever Concealed Unity: Karman (Action), Cycles (Yugas), and Yajña (Sacrifice-Compassion). In its highest aspect, Svabhava is the Divine Essence or Supreme Substance, ever desiring to manifest Itself through visible creation (Kriyashakti) by the power of the Word (First Logos). Svabhava is the Mulaprakriti of the Vedantin, the Root-less Root or Eternal Life of the Eastern Occultist, Deity Itself! It is Ineffable, because nameless and unpronounceable, yet Universally Diffused Essence (Adi-Buddhi or Dharmakaya). Svayambhu is Brahma and Man, the Heavenly Manu-Svayambhuva, Self-existence and Self-existing, i.e., the potentiality of being and the potency of every form of life. Svayambhu emanates from himself the creative faculty which is symbolised by the Abstract Triad, vehicle of an Unmanifested Deity (First Logos) and symbol of the universe to be. The first triangle is formed when Cosmic Substance and Cosmic Ideation, two lines united in “heaven,” are joined at the base thus indicating that the Son (i.e., Mahat and Matter, or the inner and outer boundaries of the universe to be) is about to be born. Svayambhu is the greatest secret of creation and salvation. It is the luminous Point that radiates from Darkness, Motion Unmanifested or Eternal Vibration, unconscious and noumenal. When the hour strikes, it becomes Motion Manifested or Vortical Motion, conscious and phenomenal. Not only the first Manu is Svayambhuva, self-manifested Son of an ever Unmanifested Father, but every Svayambhuva is a parentless, self-born Cosmic Monad, which is destined to become the Centre of Force, from within which will emerge a planetary chain, whose radiations will become again so many Manu-Svayambhuvas, each of these becoming the Creator of his own Humanity. Manu-Svayambhuva is the creative energy of our Dhyani-Chohans collectively, personified by the Greeks as Prometheus or the Pythagorean Monas, the Heart of our Universe. It never manifests objectively, as it always lives in solitude and darkness. It is the Central Point around which the six-pointed star, emblem of the Theosophical Society, revolves and evolves.

Book excerpt: For those who are familiar with Occult Cosmogony and Theogony, True Darkness is Inner Light or Soul-Wisdom (Heart Doctrine); and “Light,” a mere flicker of head-learning (Eye Doctrine). Book Magnetism Mesmerism Hypnotism

Download or read book Magnetism Mesmerism Hypnotism written by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-21 with total page 50 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Magnetism is the intangible Spirit and ultimate essence of every atom, whether pertaining to animate or inanimate, organic or inorganic substance. It is invisible to all but the eyes of another immortal Spirit. Mesmerism is a lesser branch of Magic, and as old as man. Magic is indissolubly blended with the religion of every country and is inseparable from its origin. Magnetism is the key to the mystery of man’s nature and to Occultism or Eastern Magic. It prolongs life and heals the sick much better than modern medicine can ever do. The Magnetiser’s Vital Force, intensely concentrated by the his will, pours out of his system into the patient’s. Afterward, he can then use the sun to make good of the loss of vitality and rebalance his prana. Magnetism has been studied in the temples of ancient Egypt and Greece, and mastered as it may never hope to be mastered in our age of profound idiocy. Full health is only possible when there is a perfect magnetic equilibrium in one’s system. The therapist heals simply by restoring magnetic balance in his patient by the force of his benevolent desire and will. The chief agent in any therapeutic operation is the Human Will plus dominion over the Elemental Spirits. But the will of a selfish operator is more likely to injure rather than heal. Though Christians practice Mesmerism by another name, Christian law and societies with their boasted civilization become with every day more like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones and befoulment. Mesmerism is key to the world’s psychological sciences, from the remotest antiquity down to our time. In Mesmerism, the curative agency is the animal aura, force, or fluid in one person, by means of which a peculiar action is set up in the physical system of another. The power of the mantram is occult sound through which the adept commands the elemental forces of nature. But mantram ignorantly employed can be a treacherous weapon, whose mystical power has caused it to turn and stab the user. Astrology, Mesmerism, and Homeopathy are far more scientific and true than the scientists of gross matter could ever imagine. The magnetic fluid projected by a living human body is Life itself. Indeed, it is the same life-atoms that a man in a blind passion throws off unconsciously, though he does it quite as effectively as a Mesmeriser who transfers them from himself to any object consciously and under the guidance of his will. The process of Hypnotism is a purely mechanical one, i.e., the fixing of the eyes on some bright spot, a metal or a crystal. The eye serves as a medium between that bit of metal or crystal and the brain, and attunes the molecular vibrations of the nervous centres of the latter into unison with the vibrations of the bright object held. It is this unison that produces the hypnotic state. In Mesmerism, i.e., the hypnotization by preliminary passes, it is the will of the operator himself that acts upon the nervous system of the patient. And it is again through the vibrations — only atomic, not molecular — produced by that act of energy called will in the ether of space (therefore, on quite a different plane) that the super-hypnotic state (i.e., “suggestion,” etc.) is induced. The source of the vital essence of Mesmerism or Animal Magnetism was located by the ancients between the earth and the starry sky. It is the Akasha-tattva of the Indians personified by the breath of Cybele, the Anatolian mother goddess, adopted and adapted by Greek colonists of Asia Minor. Between Mesmerism and Hypnotism there is an abyss: the one is beneficent, the other maleficent. Hypnotism is produced by the withdrawal of the nervous fluid from the capillary nerves which, being like the sentries that keep the doors of our senses opened, are anaesthetized and get closed.

Book Theoretical and Practical Occultism

Download or read book Theoretical and Practical Occultism written by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and published by Philaletheians UK. This book was released on 2018-02-21 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While the study of theoretical Occultism is harmless, and may do good, practical Occultism, being the “Science of Good and Evil,” is fraught with perils and pitfalls. The student of Occult Arts, who is not intellectually or ethically fit, will be unable to discern the Right from the Left Path. He will bring on himself and his family unexpected woes and sorrows, never suspecting whence they come. Only Absolute Unity, physical and metaphysical, can provide safe passage to the other shore. Whoever indulges, after having pledged himself to Occultism, in the gratification of a worldly love or lust, must feel an almost immediate result: that of being irresistibly dragged from the impersonal divine state down to the lower plane of matter.
