Book Murmurings of the Heart

Download or read book Murmurings of the Heart written by P. A. Ramour and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2012-11 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection of poetry was inspired by poet P. A. Ramour's "Angel of Love," and it is with her in mind that he expresses his innermost thoughts and feelings of love. The poems in Murmurings of the Heart: One Angelic Kiss were inspired in the years after the poet P. A. Ramour discovered the relaxation and enjoyment of simply expressing his thoughts and feelings in verse. With no purpose or goal in mind beyond than the introspection, he writes of his early family life with humor and divulges some of his meanderings in nostalgia. Ramour's life changed considerably with the passing of his wife and a failed second marriage; in response to these changes, his poetry became a release for his overflowing emotions. The newfound freedom to follow his love of music ultimately led to the meeting of his "Angel of Love." Suddenly his need to write about his new love accelerated to an intense desire to pour out his heart in these poems. They became good friends, and before long her beauty and talent inspired Ramour to write of his love for her. Overwhelmed by her love of life, he opens his heart to her through Murmurings of the Heart. His verses reveal the true love and beauty of a relationship seemingly arranged in heaven for their golden years.

Download or read book Heart Murmurs written by Joan Butman and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2006-06 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you a God-Buff? Or does the topic of religion give you the "HeBGB's?" Either way, you'll find inspiration in Heart Murmurs by Joan Butman. A series of essays that began as testimonies given by Joan at her Bible Study group, Heart Murmurs celebrates everyday spirituality by exploring topics such as forgiveness, worry, plastic surgery, and putting up the Christmas lights. Avoiding the "in your face" approach to Christianity, Joan uses humor and a hefty dose of humility in her reflections on Scripture: ".I'd like to sign up for liposuction of the heart to suck out all of the pride, anger, resentment, jealousies, and grievances I keep harbored there.then follow it up with a Botox injection to infuse me with the fruits of the spirit: 'love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control' (Galations 5:22-23). Now that's my idea of reconstructive surgery." Whether you're a God-Buff, a Bible Babe, or anyone whose heart could use a lift, Heart Murmurs will bring a smile to your face and warmth to your soul.

Book Learning Cardiac Auscultation

Download or read book Learning Cardiac Auscultation written by Allen J. Taylor and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-10-13 with total page 327 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book contains a series of core auscultation “lessons”. All are case based and describe auscultation as it relates to a patient and in terms of the gold standard for interpretation of heart sounds. Auscultation is the term for listening to the internal sounds of the body, usually using a stethoscope. It is performed for the purposes of examining the circulatory system and respiratory system (heart sounds and breath sounds). As a topic it is one of the oldest in cardiology but its utility should never be underestimated. In this era of hugely expensive imaging tests, auscultation is a cornerstone of efficient diagnosis and therefore needs a fresh look. The core content of this book describes the search for diagnostic clues within patients’ heart sounds and as such this book provides superb practical advice in the form of a series of clinical pearls reflecting what accurate diagnosis with auscultation can mean to patient prognosis and outcome. This often subtle but ultimately simple subject often produces complex results and these must be considered in light of modern next-level diagnostic methods and patient management.

Book excerpt: Love: An elusive, haunting, and joyous thrill that can create life, bring people together, and drive them apart. Love sustains communities, informs ambition, fuels art, and can never quite be captured in words, no matter how often the bards of old and modern keep trying to do so... I have poured every part of my heart into these pages. They simmer with the broth of a lifetime spent wishing for true love. We always hope for perfect devotion, but find ourselves facing the stern shock of apathetic taunts, impertinent teases, and damning humiliations in the shadow of darkness that defines the human ego. To find and selflessly devote one's entire being to another soul is a remarkable gamble that can either pay off in endless joy, or be dashed against the rocks - after tumbling down a bottomless ravine of unfortunate truth. Learning to pick one's self up, sew together all the rejection lacerations and stare down the scars of memory is an immense challenge. Some never recover, but those of us who have survived and persevered this and many other battles are made of stern stuff. Stuff that must be gifted to the world. Stuff of legend that will bring strength to the universe. Stuff that reveals utter truth, without restraint. So here's my stuff: Murmurings of the Heart.
