DCI Fenton must track down a serial killer and avert moral panic before The Queen is forced to utter the words 'death penalty' in her speech. Three victims, all from minority groups, are found murdered in a London hotel, after attending an 'embracing diversity' conference. They are all employees of a training company who want to make the world a better place through whiteboards and jazz hands. Is there a serial killer on the loose? Or is the killer someone closer to home? The murders receive widespread media attention, fuelled by a journalist who has a personal vendetta against Fenton and will do anything for fame. With a power crazed opposition leader and a government on the brink of collapse, the murders reignite the political debate on capital punishment. Just who are the Far Right Extremist Enigma, and why does a political leader want to murder a Reality TV star who can't stop eating cake? Do you ever think the world is getting too politically correct? Do you find yourself laughing at something, only to be met with a judgemental furrowed brow? Book Political Correctness Does More Harm Than Good How to Identify Debunk and Dismantle Dangerous Ideas

Download or read book Political Correctness Does More Harm Than Good How to Identify Debunk and Dismantle Dangerous Ideas written by Douglas Kruger and published by Ambassador International. This book was released on 2020-10-27 with total page 291 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Political Correctness Does More Harm Than Good! It’s a surprising assertion. Isn’t PC culture all about kindness? About protecting victimized groups? If you trace the history of political correctness, the answer is emphatically no. It has other goals in mind and has since its inception with thinkers like Rousseau. Author Douglas Kruger traces the unfolding ideology from its dark genesis (the French Revolution and subsequent terror) through its various incarnations— Marxism, relativism, post-modernism, and all the way to today’s identity-politics. He points out the flaws, fallacies, and in many cases, the body-counts these ideologies have wracked up. Uniquely, this book then goes one step further. It is not merely descriptive history; it is not just explanatory philosophy. This is a debate guide, a how-to manual for those interested in attacking these harmful ideas head on. Do you know how to articulate what is wrong with “woke” arguments? Do you know how to defend the Western tradition against relentless onslaught from the PC-Police? Here is how, step by step and argument by argument. Become a master at identifying, debunking, and dismantling dangerous ideas. Add your voice to the culture wars and learn precisely how to fight for tried and tested Western values—values like science, democracy, logic, rule of law, and the Judeo-Christian tradition of human rights and values. As it turns out, you can have truth, or you can have political correctness, but you can’t have both. Award-winning speaker and author Douglas Kruger also provides you with supplemental “how-to” videos on his site www.BreakingWoke.com.

Book Beyond Political Correctness

Download or read book Beyond Political Correctness written by Michael S. Cummings and published by Lynne Rienner Publishers. This book was released on 2001 with total page 358 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The reason that the right dominates debates on crime, family values, and economic freedom while the left defends diversionary policies such as affirmative actions and equivocates on ecology and the political empowerment of the young, argues Cummings (political science, U. of Colorado) is that too many progressives have avoided politically sensitive issues, thus condemning themselves to intellectual atrophy and political ineffectiveness. c. Book The Myth of Political Correctness

Download or read book The Myth of Political Correctness written by John K. Wilson and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 1995 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The classics of Western culture are out, not being taught, replaced by second-rate and Third World texts. White males are a victimized minority on campuses across the country, thanks to affirmative action. Speech codes have silenced anyone who won't toe the liberal line. Feminists, wielding their brand of sexual correctness, have taken over. These are among the prevalent myths about higher education that John K. Wilson explodes. The phrase "political correctness" is on everyone's lips, on radio and television, and in newspapers and magazines. The phenomenon itself, however, has been deceptively described. Wilson steps into the nation's favorite cultural fray to reveal that many of the most widely publicized anecdotes about PC are in fact more myth than reality. Based on his own experience as a student and in-depth research, he shows what's really going on beneath the hysteria and alarmism about political correctness and finds that the most disturbing examples of thought policing on campus have come from the right. The image of the college campus as a gulag of left-wing totalitarianism is false, argues Wilson, created largely through the exaggeration of deceptive stories by conservatives who hypocritically seek to silence their political opponents. Many of today's most controversial topics are here: multiculturalism, reverse discrimination, speech codes, date rape, and sexual harassment. So are the well-recognized protagonists in the debate: Dinesh D'Souza, William Bennett, and Lynne Cheney, among others. In lively fashion and in meticulous detail, Wilson compares fact to fiction and lays one myth after another to rest, revealing the double standard that allows "conservative correctness" on college campuses to go unchallenged.

America has become a nation, that in some cases, applauds, condones, and celebrates wrong doing, but dismisses and ignores doing right. A nation who has certain citizens who think they are upholding the ideals and freedoms of the foundation of this country, but on the contrary, are doing and behaving in a way that is the exact opposite of the values and principles this nation was founded on. This book is a wake-up call to the citizens of the greatest nation in the history of mankind to come together and get it together, before we wreck it together. This book is a wake-up call to my black community. We must do better. This book is a wake-up call to all Christians in America. We have some critical issues facing this nation and this book does not shy away from addressing any of them head on. This book also offers wise, practical, fair, and reasonable solutions to many of the critical issues facing this nation. There are so many interesting and different topics discussed in this book, it is like getting ten books in one. This book is like a strong cup of coffee or a spicy bowl of gumbo. It has a little some of everything in it and it will give some people heartburn. Unarmed Blacks being killed and abused by those sworn to protect us, and nothing is being done about it. Blacks killing one another at record numbers, and no one seems to care. The book How To Kill A Black Man offers a very thought-provoking answer to this controversial, eye brow raising, emotion stirring title. This book also deals with a lot other interesting, debatable controversial, yet pertinent topics to meditate and consider. Not only does this book address controversial issues, it also offers reasonable and honest solutions to some challenging issues in the African–American community and 21st century United States of America.

Book Political Correctness and the Destruction of Social Order

Download or read book Political Correctness and the Destruction of Social Order written by Howard S. Schwartz and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-09-20 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book develops a psychoanalytic theory of political correctness and the pristine self, which is defined as a self touched by nothing but love. It explores the damage that political correctness can do to social order. Applications include the breakdown of social capital, the financial crisis, and Occupy Wall Street. Long an issue for conservatives, alarm over political correctness has now spread to the liberal side of the political spectrum. As Schwartz argues, all have reason to be concerned. The psychology that underlies political correctness has the potential to be extremely destructive to social organization on every level. Schwartz discusses the primitive roots of political correctness and, through the use of case studies, shows its capacity for ruination. The book focuses on a transformation in the idea of the self, and specifically the rise of the pristine self. The problem is that, in truth, the world does not love us. This puts the pristine self at war with objective reality.

Can this insensitive and tactless human battering-ram defeat the thought-police who run Freeman State University like a gulag? Does she believe the late Provost was murdered? If so, what should she do about it? And will she manage to persuade Robert Amisswho describes himself bitterly as Watson to her Holmes and Goodwin to her Nero Wolfeto abandon his honeymoon and fly to her side?

Download or read book The Griffin Murders written by Jon Gegenheimer and published by . This book was released on 2018-07-22 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Author Jon Gegenheimer is a long-time practicing attorney, elected court official, and a writer of serious literary fiction. His first novel, The Second Hill (AuthorHouse 2011), is an exceptional piece of historical/futuristic fiction. It is a unique work that foresaw virtually every malady afflicting today's troubled world: ubiquitous terrorism, rampant moral relativism, absurd political correctness, and the all-out assault against the Judeo-Christian ethic. Although The Griffin Murders is predominantly a straight murder mystery, it is of the same genre as The Second Hill. Beyond a spellbinding surface plot, it features deep character development and strikingly relevant themes. Its pace is lively; its prose is rich and finely crafted; and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way. The Griffin Murders is reminiscent of the Sherlock Holmes adventures. Its protagonists, Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Steve Wyndham and U.S. Attorney Rod West, are Holmes and Watson reincarnated. They follow myriad clues throughout New Orleans' French Quarter in pursuit of an unusually cunning serial killer who leaves at each murder scene the likeness of a gryphon: the mythical creature that is half eagle and half lion. Four years after the initial murder, Justice Wyndham, in Holmes-like fashion, unmasks the murderer during a Mardi Gras party at his stately French Quarter residence. The disclosure most certainly will astonish the reader. Without question, this story will appeal to the devoted whodunit audience. Moreover, it is fine Dickensian writing that informs as much as it entertains. Like The Second Hill, it is a story for the times - written to awaken, delight, educate, and spark conversation. In writing this unique detective adventure, Gegenheimer drew upon his vast experience as a trial lawyer. He believes in the axiom "Write what you know."
