Los autores convocados emplean metodologías y estrategias narrativas diversas, algunos reconstruyen biografías in extenso, mientras que otros exploran la acción política y social en los bastidores, es decir, dentro de los espacios de trabajo o a partir de trayectorias de organizaciones militantes específicas. Tres líneas de investigación atraviesan el volumen. La primera tiene que ver con la sociabilidad, la segunda está relacionada con las estrategias de resistencia, mientras que la tercera centra la atención en las vidas en movimiento. La colección Miradas Latinoamericanas. Un Estado del Debate tiene como objetivo relevar las novedades teóricas, metodológicas y temáticas en diversos campos del saber, tanto a través de perspectivas trans e interdisciplinares, como desde diferentes tradiciones intelectuales.
