Book Project Specific Quality Assurance Plan Project W 058 Replacement Cross site Transfer System

Download or read book Project Specific Quality Assurance Plan Project W 058 Replacement Cross site Transfer System written by and published by . This book was released on 1996 with total page 15 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is part of the Tank Waste Projects (TWP) Quality Assurance Program Plan. This document and the Tank Waste Projects QAPP describe the program and the planned actions which WHC will implement, demonstrate and ensure that the project meets the requirements of 10 CFR 830.120. Purpose of Project W058, Replacement Cross-Site Transfer System, is to replace the existing cross-site transfer system for transferring waste (via pipeline) in support of the Hanford Site clean-up mission. The transfers will be made from 200 East and 200 West tank farms to treatment, storage, and disposal facilities in the 200 East Area. The new system will consist of a pipe-in-pipe connecting the 241-SY A and B valve pits in the 200 West Area with the 244-A Lift Station in the 200 East Area. The work to be accomplished by W-058 and covered by this QAPP includes diversion box, vent station, piping, booster pump, backup flush system, power lines.

Book 242 A Evaporator Quality Assurance Plan Revision 2

Download or read book 242 A Evaporator Quality Assurance Plan Revision 2 written by and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this quality assurance project plan (Plan) is to provide requirements for activities pertaining to sampling, shipping, and analyses associated with candidate feed tank samples for the 242-A Evaporator project. The purpose of the 242-A Evaporator project is to reduce the volume of aqueous waste in the Double Shell Tank (DST) System and will result in considerable savings to the disposal of mixed waste. The 242-A Evaporator feed stream originates from DSTs identified as candidate feed tanks. The 242-A Evaporator reduces the volume of aqueous waste contained in DSTs by boiling off water and sending the condensate (called process condensate) to the Liquid Effluent Retention Facility (LEPF) storage basin where it is stored prior to treatment in the Effluent Treatment Facility (ETF). The objective of this quality assurance project plan is to provide the planning, implementation, and assessment of sample collection and analysis, data issuance, and validation activities for the candidate feed tanks.

Book Kaiser Engineers Hanford Internal Position Paper Project W 236A Multi function Waste Tank Facility Peer Reviews of Selected Activities

Download or read book Kaiser Engineers Hanford Internal Position Paper Project W 236A Multi function Waste Tank Facility Peer Reviews of Selected Activities written by and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 8 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this paper is to develop and document a proposed position on the performance of independent peer reviews on selected design and analysis components of the Title 1 [Preliminary] and Title 2 [Final] design phases of the Multi-Function Waste Tank Facility [MWTF] project. An independent, third-party peer review is defined as a documented critical review of documents, data, designs, design inputs, tests, calculations, or related materials. The peer review should be conducted by persons independent of those who performed the work, but who are technically qualified to perform the original work. The peer review is used to assess the validity of assumptions and functional requirements, to assess the appropriateness and logic of selected methodologies and design inputs, and to verify calculations, analyses and computer software. The peer review can be conducted at the end of the design activity, at specific stages of the design process, or continuously and concurrently with the design activity. This latter method is often referred to as ''Continuous Peer Review.''
