Book excerpt: This book is a collection of poems by the author about abused children, with a section for lullabies. The majority of mothers and fathers seek and reach out for the highest goals for their children. However, mothers bear most of the responsibility when the children are very young. Both the mother and father must be involved and share this responsibility. There is a strong bond between mother and child. However, some children fall by the wayside, and our hopes and dreams fall. Our reach is beyond our grasp. We do not always know why children are as they are. It may be the environment and its profound effect on children; it may be that the general personality orbit could be the attitude of the parents abuse or allowing others to abuse them. As parents we can hope, dream, guide, have faith, love, and work constantly toward Gods plan for all children to reach their goals or potential through guidance, example, and always, love and respect for their mother. This kind of introspect has led the author to write these poems about mothers, children, family, faith, love, hope, and other poems but especially about abused children. The lullaby section contains some suggested lullabies mothers may try setting to their own tune or innovating in song. It lulls the spirit to awaken the soul and mind to dream and to hope far beyond time and experiences untold. The voice is like an instrument, with many beautiful colors of time. It soothes the infant to sleep like soft melodies in a mothers armswith love and contentment.

Book The Lilaguide Baby Friendly Atlanta Area

Download or read book The Lilaguide Baby Friendly Atlanta Area written by Lissa Poirot and published by Lilaguide. This book was released on 2005-09 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Like they say, everything changes when you have a baby. That's why the lilaguide has become the essential item on every new parent's checklist. Most parents wish their baby came with some sort of user-friendly handbook. Luckily, babies come with a lot of excellent word-of-mouth advice from other parents and friends. In fact, we found that nearly every parent out there has a great piece of child-rearing advice, such as which baby store is the most helpful or which restaurant tolerates strained carrots on the floor. Someone, we thought, should write this stuff down. And that's how, please pardon the pun, the lilaguide was born. Our guides are literally written by parents for parents, through thousands of volunteer surveys. It's what happens when someone does write all the parent wisdom down, organizes it, calculates it, and presents it in an easy-to-use format.
