As painful as some of the things done to me in the past felt, I came to understand that was the reason why my Lord was there so I chose to allow Him into my life for healing to begin. It was in Him to give and so a new heart was provided for me to be able to live pain free. As I accepted the gift I was given I felt the heart beat like never before. A tear drop rolled down my cheek and I knew I was transformed. I came to find out it was new life in me. I was coming out a new person, a new being who was no longer conformed to the world but renewed, enlightened & enriched. I woke up and realized I was no longer sleeping beauty as I got the awakening. To me that was healing from the house of heaven. I was now free from heartache, no longer day dreaming but living the dream. The documentary touches on life experiences and showcases a woman's journey as she worked to free herself from oppression rebuilding her life to make it out of the wilderness alive. It turned out to be a journey of a lifetime.

I therefore, feel that bringing to mind of many both Africans and the West, the things we need to address to move Africa forward. I believe that if some of the points looked at in this book and other brilliant ideas by others are implemented, then the continent of Africa can emerge out of its aclaimed darkness and move forward like other continent. Let the world and African leaders learn from the history of the past and invent new ways of doing things so that they can move Africa forward in a progressive path. Strongly I believe if this is done, the Story of the continent of Africa can change like that of China. The West should desist from ripping Africa off, abstain from aiding and abetting corruption and bad leadership in the continent. The people of Africa should fight and resist wicked and corrupt political leaders, and bring to death tribal - nepotic and support of politics of clientism.

I felt a strong arm around my waist and heard my doctors voice say, Devaney, are you okay; can you hear me? The entire experience was like watching a horror movie programmed on fast forward. But at some point, a massive wave of calmness sweetly enveloped me like a thick fog, and it calmed the raging sea. Time came to a screeching halt and the issues of life, love, and relationships were narrowed to those that held eternal value. Many years after that fateful day of my cancer diagnosis in 2002, I can now say with assurance that I am an ordinary girl, but with an extraordinary calling and life in Christ. I have experienced how God calls ordinary people (regular girls and guys) to do extraordinary things for Him. Not all extraordinary things are packaged in missionary work abroad or preaching the gospel. Some include a simple faith-filled walk of perseverance and strength through sudden and extended suffering and loss. In the callings of God, some of the greatest impacts for His kingdom are the people who are called into action and those who are affected because of the one who is simply persevering and enduring. Heaven surely holds the treasures of each of these beautiful overcoming life works. I am thankful and blessed to have been called to walk in a small portion of His field. And so are you whether you see it clearly today, or not. Be inspired to relentlessly pursue joy Beyond the Place of Your Tears.
