Este cambio de vision respecto al aprendizaje, significa que el profesor, no solo debe preocuparse por el resultado del aprendizaje, sino que ademas debe tener en cuenta, los procesos que intervienen en el mismo. Los resultados de este estudio indican que tanto variables motivacionales (enfoques, estrategias, habitos de estudio) como emocionales (estres, ansiedad, depresion) y/o sociodemograficas y academicas, influyen o interactuan con variables relacionadas tanto con el proceso de aprendizaje (tarea, contenido, dificultad) como con aquellas relacionadas con el producto final (rendimiento y satisfaccion)."
