Book The Real Chronicles of Love

Download or read book The Real Chronicles of Love written by Jack Mogashoa and published by Partridge Africa. This book was released on 2015-03-13 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a compilation of poems mostly inspired by family, friends, deep longings, and the need to be closer to God, building a personal relationship with him. Each poem has a specific feel that I hold to heart. I see them as a voice from the deep thoughts I have within. To others, understanding it was difficult when spoken, but having them on paper eased the whole transaction. Ive always felt at heart that we all need love, that someone has unconditional love that is unmerited for us, and that love outgrows the love we share with man each day. Love calls us by name and wants to have that intimate relationship with us, and thats the real chronicles of love.

Book I Must Not Write Poems about My Friends

Download or read book I Must Not Write Poems about My Friends written by Debby Curreen and published by . This book was released on 2024-06 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "I must not write poems about my friends" is a collection of poems that I have written about, and for my friends over a span of 40 years and more. They are a mixture of humour, love, remembrance and while I have used the real life stories of friends, I have leant heavily on my own imagination and exercised huge creative licence to make my poems more entertaining. For almost as long as I can remember, I have written stories and poems about my beloved friends, family, and on occasion, myself. My first poem about life was at age six when I wrote a poem about rainy days and the joys of jumping in puddles -this was also my first published piece and it was in my primary school newsletter. In recent years when I first started to jot down little ditties poking affectionate fun at my friends, I mostly found no one was ever offended and often friends seemed to find my little, written caricatures to be quite flattering. Too often, these days though, I write with great love and reminiscence of special times had together or past memories of a friend or family member no longer with us. But mostly a bit of a laugh is had. All have been written with love and mixed intentions. Enjoy!

Book Family Friends and Fun

Download or read book Family Friends and Fun written by Ronald Young and published by . This book was released on 2022-08-15 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My poems are written for and about the people who mean the most to me, family and friends. From the adventurous days of our childhood through our golden years, we have shared the many joys life offers. The bonds we have make it easy to put thoughts to paper. There are insightful poems about family, respect, and love. The chapter on fun and games will help you remember the happiness we all enjoyed as we grew. Several of the poems will invoke your thought processes; maybe you share similar ideas, or better yet, you can improve on them. Special occasions, birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays will warm your heart. There are numerous poems with a patriotic theme including my favorite, "A Date with Destiny," recalling the great teamwork during the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. May you enjoy these poems and remember your own special family, friends, and fun.

Book Poems From the Heart

    Book Details:
  • Author : Jean Marie Norman
  • Publisher : FriesenPress
  • Release : 2024-02-20
  • ISBN : 1039195555
  • Pages : 120 pages

Download or read book Poems From the Heart written by Jean Marie Norman and published by FriesenPress. This book was released on 2024-02-20 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book of poetry started with no thought process at all. A few poems written over many years. Mostly with very personal messages to family and friends. Poems to my husband, my grandchildren, my friends. Then, for unknown reasons I started writing about life. My life, the lives of people I know and simply life in the world in which I live. Many of these poems lean close to my heart, thus the title. They certainly do reflect my personal thoughts on life, love, loss and laughter. Asterisked titles are titles given to me over time by my BFF who challenged me to write the poem. You might say she spurred me on! The world I grew up in and the world my grandchildren are growing up in are so significantly different it’s sometimes hard to even imagine. My poems reflect the changes both good and bad as perceived by the writer. Some strike on my past, some on the sadness of today’s world and some simply on the joy I see in life. I hope you find comfort, humour, and a wee bit of quietude in some of the poems and that you see the beauty of life both in the human factor and the world we’ve been given to care for.

Book When You Thought I Wasn t Looking

Download or read book When You Thought I Wasn t Looking written by Mary Korzan and published by Andrews McMeel Publishing. This book was released on 2004-03 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mary Rita Schilke Korzan wrote a poem to her mother 24 years ago, thanking her for all she had done as a mother, friend, and role model. She gave the poem to her mother and, a few months later, offered it as a tribute when Mary and her husband were married. So many wedding guests asked for a copy that Mary included one in her thank-you notes. Then began the strange and heartwarming journey of Mary's poem to her mom. Friends passed it on to those they knew. A minister in her hometown couldn't recall who gave it to him, but he included the by-then "anonymously written" poem in his book about loving others. Another author picked it up from there for her compilation of heartfelt works, and Mary finally noticed her poem, now listed as "Author Unknown," in A Fourth Course of Chicken Soup for the Soul, which her husband and children gave her as a Mother's Day gift. With this new book, readers have the chance to experience When You Thought I Wasn't Looking in its entirety and from its creator. This is the special kind of book that reminds us that sometimes the little things we do "just because" mean more to someone than we can ever know. Those little things teach love, compassion, and understanding. In other words, they're priceless. This sweet gift book brings that lesson home to the heart.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Presenting a broad range of fully annotated selections from the long history of poetry in English, this anthology provides a rich and extensive resource for teaching traditional canons and forms as well as experimental and alternate trajectories (such as Language poetry and prose poetry). In addition to a chronological table of contents suited to a literary-historical course framework, the volume offers a list of conceptual and thematic teaching units called “Poems in Conversation.” Instructors will find the Conversations helpful for lesson plans; students will find them equally helpful as a resource for presentation and paper topics. Headnotes to each poet are designed to be useful to both instructors and students in the classroom: for instructors new to particular poets, the headnotes will provide helpful grounding in the most current scholarship; for students, they will provide frameworks and explanations to help them approach unfamiliar texts. As a unique feature in the current market, this anthology also incorporates contemporary song lyrics from alternative, indie, rap, and hip-hop songs, fully integrated into the Conversations as rich material for teaching in the undergraduate classroom.
