Download or read book When I Look Up written by Ron Gallo and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2021-11-21 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most Christian books have a problem. For they speak from an “adult perspective”, and not a child’s. They leave out, the most important aspect of the foundation when walking with God, and that is the child. They say. do ABCDE, to get a better walk with God. That’s fine, but we forget about the growth of the child and there characteristics, is the Christian life template for an adult to look at and learn from. This is the reason why children come before adults; it’s so we can see who God sees. God doesn’t see us as we see each other as adults, in arrogance. God doesn’t care about your social status, or you can have more degrees than a thermometer, you are his child. God sees adults as tall children. So now let’s look deeper into a child’s life, and how it relates to Gods foundation... the family. Understanding the child, then you will understand yourself, and what God wants from us as adults. Looking at the genesis of a child we can see many attributes and characteristics of a child that God wants to see in us. We can shadow, and be a reflection of “childlike”, not childish as Jesus said in the book of Mathew. Jesus clearly states ‘unless you’re like a child, you shall not enter....’ Right off the bat, Jesus is drawing the line in the sand. Children have many characteristics that we miss as adults, and forget that we went through these same characteristics ourselves. From looking up, having child like faith, being able to be led, humility, believability, no pride or self righteousness etc. This fascinating book being different, will enhance any reader/parent to take a stronger look at their own Christian life, and check off the boxes to see if there in alignment with Gods standards. There a chapter on being blind when your awake, yet we trust him in sleep, and other great gems of wisdom.

Download or read book Miriam s Well written by Lois Ruby and published by Open Road Media. This book was released on 2015-07-21 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A terminally ill teenager is forced to choose between her religion and her life Adam doesn’t think much of it when Miriam faints in class. She’s an oddball, a student who hardly talks, never makes eye contact, and wears clothes that seem straight out of the 19th century. She says she’s fine, and he wants to believe her. But when she passes out while they’re working on an English assignment, Adam takes Miriam to the last place she wants to go: the hospital. Miriam has bone cancer. She believes that God will heal her, but if He doesn’t, she plans to let herself die. Miriam is a member of a devout religious sect in which women have little power and medicine is strictly forbidden. In order for Miriam to forgo treatment, Adam’s father sues the state on her behalf—even as Adam himself tries to convince her to accept the doctors’ help. As her illness rages on, Miriam will teach Adam the meaning of love and faith—and he will give her a reason to live.
Download or read book Consider the Stars written by John Lindsay and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-04-26 with total page 317 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Consider the Stars will not only be a delight to read, it will be a valued experience to be shared over and over again. Whether you make reading the seasonal stories a tradition or use its lessons to supplement your Bible study, church service or simply entertain your youth group, Consider the Stars will be an active tool in your library. In addition to the sketches and correlating lesson plans that make up the majority of the book, a short study of acting is included at the end of the book with its focus bent toward the Christian actor by understanding that everything a person chooses to do or not to do is based on a belief system. Why is drama important in presenting moral principles? Its often difficult to repeat what was preached even a moment ago, much less apply it, yet we can all recall a song or story that we heard even decades ago. Likewise, whether you believe he is who he says he is or not, Jesus is remembered mainly because he didnt tell us which way to gohe showed us through the stories he told and the life he lived.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The True History of God's Words. There is not one history of the Bible, but two. One is a history of God preserving His words through His people. The other is of the devil using the Roman Catholic church to pervert God's words through her scholars. Written in a down-to-earth style, and packed with cartoon illustrations by Jack Chick, Daniels shows that the Bibles Rome gave us are really clever counterfeits, designed to eliminate God's preserved words in English, the KJV. You will see why the KJV is the only Bible you can trust.

Book excerpt: A “curiously compelling” novel by the Pulitzer prize–winning playwright in which the internet crashes and the past is reconstructed from memories. (Publishers Weekly) When the Internet—and the collective memory of the twenty-first century—crashes, the past is reassembled from the downloaded memories of Ginger, wife of ex-President Wilson. The transcripts take the reader on an intellectually breathtaking tour through David Mamet’s baroque, fragmented world, where nothing is certain except the certainty bestowed by the academy. “As erudite as can be, engagingly mischievous and occasionally a little chilling.” —The Sunday Times “Enticing . . .
