This book contains eighteen of the many messages he gave over a three decade period to a small group of Christians in a little Gothic Chapel in Upstate New York. These messages, from both Old and New Testaments, cover a variety of topics fundamental to the Christian life. This book is appropriate to all who want to better know the Lord Jesus Christ and who want to walk as Christians in this 21st century world. Those who knew Jim greatly valued his walk with the Lord. Download or read book Feed My Lambs written by Charles Haddon Spurgeon and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2017-09-05 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is it possible for a child to get saved? Well, this question may seem to have an obvious answer. However, the implications of this answer are not as simple as the answer. Why? Because, as the Prince of Preachers noted, many believers and even pastors act and treat those children who sincerely desire to follow Christ as if their answer to the question would be totally different. In this book, Spurgeon diagnoses a disease that was and is widespread in the Evangelical community - child salvation not taken seriously - and then offers biblical and practical advice on how to avoid this, and how to use biblical wisdom and discernment to lead our children to Christ while at the same time on how to avoid giving our children a false assurance of salvation. This book has been originally published in 1897. This edition has been edited for modern readers, typeset for eBook readers, and proofread. About the author: Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was born in Kelvedon, Essex, England. He converted to Christianity in 1850 at a small Methodist chapel, and shortly after that he began his own ministry of preaching and teaching, and preached more than 500 sermons by the age of 20. During his ministry, he preached to more than 10 million people, wrote tens of books, and published his sermons in over 25,000 copies on a weekly basis. Charles Spurgeon suffered from poor health and he died on January 31, 1892, and was buried in London.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the beginning, bereshith, the Genesis text begins, God created heaven, earth, and many other things. The world was dark, shapeless, with no life or light, God said “Let’s have light,” so made day and night. Water, water everywhere, in heaven and down below, God sorted into clouds and rain, sea, lakes and snow. Earth was next on the agenda, of God’s creative plan, He filled it with plants, trees, fish, animals, birds, man. He made stars, sun and moon, seasons hot and cold, “Be fruitful and multiply” all creatures were told. Scholars claim that one third of the bible is poetry, more easily recognized in Hebrew than most English versions. In a poetic interpretation of the entire bible inspired by a conversation with God in 2010, Rob Bellingham shares a collection of rhyming couplets intended to be theologically sensitive regarding both gender and doctrine. Bible in Verse is a volume of inspirational rhyming couplets that offers a creative, succinct, and memorable look at a very familiar text.

Book Amplified Bible Verses by Life Topic

Download or read book Amplified Bible Verses by Life Topic written by and published by RS Zoeller. This book was released on 2019-07-22 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This e-book is the result of the author creating homemade binders of cut-and-paste verses, by topic, to gift to pastor friends, individuals being discipled, people who wanted to make Scripture declarations and confessions, those who didn't know that much Scripture, and those going through difficult circumstances. The recipients of the binders would consistently report how much they were being helped and that they were making copies of different sections for their friends, family and church members, and even taking pictures of single verses or pages to text to others. There were many requests for more binders. At about 80 pages of 8.5" x 11" paper per binder, it wasn't the most practical or efficient way to get the most help to the most people, so a PDF version was created to be shared via e-mail, and now this e-book manuscript has been formatted from that PDF. Topic Headings: Peace; Health/Healing; Marriage; Children; Angels; Provision/Finances; Path/Ordering Steps/Plans; Blessings/Favor; Battles/Enemies; Safety; Wisdom/Understanding/Mind; Authority; Homes/Property; Strength; Emotions; Holy Spirit; Restoration; and a Miscellaneous section. Each topic has not been exhaustively researched, nor is there a completely comprehensive set of verses for each topic; it is a compilation of the verses that were most quickened to and shared by the author for that topic. Lives have been changed by these Words and we hold a joyful and confident expectation of the same result for each reader. Thank you for your purchase, grace and peace to you.

  • Pages : 415 pages

Download or read book GEPC written by Dennis Dinger and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2012-10-11 with total page 415 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a study of Paul's letters to the Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. From personal experience, Paul knew what it was like to be the persecutor (as the Pharisee Saul), and the persecuted (as the Apostle Paul.) Having been taught at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ, Paul explained many doctrines of the Christian faith and gave many practical encouragements in these four letters. Paul explained the Lord's solutions to each of the problems facing these four named peoples. The problems they faced may have been specific to Paul's day and age, but all saints since then have had to deal with similar problems. Paul's words are as valuable today, almost 2000 years later, as they were in the 1st Century A.D. when freshly written.

Book Israel and the Covenants in New Testament Times

Download or read book Israel and the Covenants in New Testament Times written by Peter Williams and published by Paragon Publishing. This book was released on 2016-05-23 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Second Edition - Updated and Revised A Bible student reference A New Testament prophecy of a falling away from truth into apostasy and lawlessness, in the final generation before Jesus Christ returns in glory, is being fulfilled now and is shortly to end. Yet Christianity has overwhelmingly moved so far from its first century roots that it could not even recognise this – or that Christ’s return is therefore now almost upon us! How and why this is the case is here explained thoroughly and logically with many examples directly from the word of God. In God’s saving plan for the world, everyone must in time make a free will choice to become part of the ‘Israel of God’ in order to access eternal life in the kingdom of God. The route to take is the “strait and narrow” way (Mat 7:13-14) that very few have so far found, and it involves the biblical new and old covenants which both apply to this Israel. Embark on this voyage only if you are willing to: be challenged about some basic Christian preconceptions, be a serious open-minded Bible student, and trust what the Bible teaches - but remember that time is short. “What the Bible has taught me I see as both vital and urgent for our eternal salvation; yet I know of no church or individual theologian who teaches what this book deals with in any substantive way” “Be prepared for major challenges to your understanding just as God has challenged me.” “In the epistles, Paul refers to two Israels whom he calls Israel after the flesh (I Cor 10:18) and the Israel of God (Gal 6:16); I focus mainly on the latter (but I also explain an unexpected but critically important connection between them)” “Dependent on the teaching, nearly all Christian denominations either teach nothing at all on it or almost the opposite of what Scripture repeatedly showed me. Looking back, I find this absolutely staggering!” “Very few [Christians] understand that the new covenant also only applies to Israel (as I will clearly show).” “I no longer believe that the NT [New Testament] can be fully understood without this extra Israel dimension” “Had I felt I could deliver this in a more light-hearted way I would have done so, but its implications are too awesome and fundamental to our eternal life prospects for that”

Snatching Jen from the grip of her consumer life, God began asking her questions like, “What is really the point of My Church? What have I really asked of you?” She was far too busy doing church than being church, even as a pastor’s wife, an author of five Christian books, and a committed believer for 26 years. She discovered she had missed the point. Christ brought Jen and her family to a place of living on mission by asking them tough questions, leading them through Scripture, and walking together with them on the path. Interrupted invites readers to take a similar journey.
