This book was released on 2016-04-08 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First and foremost, as a Christian I feel that it is my duty to share the goodness of the Lord in my life. I believe The Bible is an Oracle and can be used as a helpful tool for whatever it is you may be experiencing in your life at whatever time. Just take it to Jesus and let it go. I'm a witness, there is a God. Secondly, my mentality implicates when my last day comes I want my words of funny, happy and sad stories for my daughter to have so she can reflect on and connect with our love and give her a view of our world in my shoes. My third acumen repels the fact that someone else in this world may have a similar story that may be helped from sharing my story. I realized I wasn't alone and I want them to know that they aren't either. Lastly, Lupus is a disease that deserves more attention so that those who suffer may be helped by research that leads to a cure. I have to do my part to help raise awareness so that those of us who battle with Lupus never give up hope. P.S. It became a journal too when I realized it might be even more helpful if you were able to document your own experience!

Wallace is one of the world's leading authorities on this disorder, an eminent clinician who has treated over 3000 lupus patients, the largest such practice in America. This Fifth Edition discusses new drug information and newly discovered information about the pathology of the disease--all laid out in user-friendly language that any patient could understand. Readers will also discover fully updated sections on the science of lupus and breakthroughs in research. And as in past editions, the book provides absolutely lucid answers to such questions as: What causes lupus? How and where is the body affected? Can a woman with lupus have a baby? And how can one manage this disease? Indeed, Dr. Wallace has distilled his extensive experience, providing the most up-to-date information on causes, prevention, cure, exercise, diet, and many other important topics. There is also a glossary of terms and an appendix of lupus resource materials compiled by the Lupus Foundation of America. Over a million Americans have lupus. The new Fifth Edition offers these patients and their families an abundance of reliable, up-to-date information that will help them manage the disease and live a happier life.

Book excerpt: At 20 years old, I felt as if I was cursed. I was angry, depressed, and questioned God, "Why me?" When I was diagnosed with my illness, I was a single mother and felt that my life was over. I had constant doubts, day in and day out, trying to figure out how I would be able to support my child financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I went through pain, sacrifices, struggle, and heartache dealing with my illness. I would lie there in my bed, wanting to give up on days and nights--but I couldn't because there was a little person right next to me, looking up at me smiling, who depended on me. I had faith that I would get through it one day, and I did--it turned out to be my biggest blessing. All I can do is look up to the sky, smile, point upwards, and say, "But God!" Because if it weren't for my faith, I wouldn't have gotten through. God doesn't put any more on you than you can bear. He gives His most challenging battles to His strongest soldiers. I never knew I had a story until now, but you have a story if you have a testimony. I hope that my short story will help and encourage others to keep fighting within their journey, strengthening you to overcome your situation and not give up. I have overcome the obstacles placed before me; that's why I am a strong person today. I know that everyone's different, and everyone's circumstance is too. So please don't do the things I have done because they may not work for you. This book is my story and My Life's Journey through Being a Mom, Lupus, and a Kidney Transplant. I am a soldier and a survivor--you are too. 24
