Book excerpt: Poetry to some people is just words. For many, like myself it is not. Poetry is an embodiment of soul, emotions and general life experiences loaded with personal sentiments. I am an expressive poet who allows my soul to flow from my mind to the tip of my pen unreservedly. Each poem in this book is an emotional and psychological experience both for the poet and for the people bold enough to turn these pages. Missing Pieces of a Broken Soul explores several emotional planes through common experiences of human beings in general, all tied together by that single force...Love.

Book excerpt: TRIGGER WARNING: This book contains graphic and frankly violent scenes, including rape, physical and emotional violence, animal abuse, and psychological turmoil. Please don't take this warning lightly. It's brutal at times and I don't want anyone to be harmed from the words I've written. If you or someone you know needs help, please know you're worth it! National Abuse Hotline 800-799-SAFEI find myself in a dark alley with the dickhead that tried hitting on me in a bar, beating the ever loving shit out of me. Why you ask? Well, when he grabbed me inappropriately and without my permission I kind of lost it and may or may not have but definitely did, emasculate him in front of all his friends in the bar, and everyone else. Thinking that was end of it I moved on, clearly, he didn't as my current situation proves. From there a tattooed man scares him off and gets me to help. Little do I know him and his friends are going to become a permanent part of my life, helping me heal both mentally and physically. Kyle, Flynn, Owen, Silas, and Heath all stand next to me helping with my issues and keeping me safe as I work through things from my past that pop up from this recent attack. When it turns out I have a stalker, they guys draw closer to me as we all try to navigate my crazy life. In getting to know them and spending time with them, I've come to realize I like them, all five of them. Does that make me selfish? Yep. Can we all make this work? I guess we'll see... This book contains some cliffhangers, not all plots get resolved in this book. It is reverse harem where the heroine ends ups with at least three of the guys.

Book Dear Broken Soul Return Home to God

Download or read book Dear Broken Soul Return Home to God written by Liyana Musfirah and published by IMAN Publication Sdn Bhd. This book was released on with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “What’s beautiful about being broken is that you start to realise how much feelings you carry. You are introduced to the layers of emotions that you never knew were in you all along.” *** Life is a place for us to be tested — this is something we know but going through a painful and heartbreaking experience can leave the heart feeling like it’s shattered into pieces. We succumb to the pain, drown ourselves in the whirlwind of emotions, and we end up becoming a person we no longer recognise because of our “brokenness”. But love and pain are emotions from God. So why does one bring us joy and the other makes us feel like we’re trapped in a dark hole? *** In Dear Broken Soul, Islamic educator, Liyana Musfirah, and licensed psychotherapist, Maimunah Mosli, explore what happens to us when we go through a heartbreaking experience and how we can revive the heart by seeking God through our brokenness. It also invites us to embrace one certain fact – our heart and its brokenness will always have a home to come back to – and that is with God.

Book excerpt: 'Lottie Parker is one of the most compelling characters in Irish detective fiction' LIZ NUGENT, bestselling author of Our Little Cruelties She shivered, though the kitchen was warm. Icicles of foreboding trickled down her spine. With trembling hands she whipped back her hair at the nape of her neck. As she turned away from the window, she missed the shadow passing by. One dark winter morning, bride-to-be Cara Dunne is found hanging in her home, dressed in her wedding dress, with a lock of hair removed. Detective Lottie Parker is first on the scene. Looking at Cara's bruised and battered body, she wonders who could have hated her enough to kill her at the happiest time of her life. The case takes a darker turn that afternoon with another shocking discovery; the broken body of a second young woman, pushed from the roof of the hospital where she worked. Fiona Heffernan was also due to be married, and her body is clad in a wedding dress, a lock of her hair cut off. The killings seem so personal that Lottie is convinced the girls have been killed by someone they knew. When she goes to break the news to Fiona's family, she's on the alert for anything suspicious. But then she makes a discovery that causes her blood to run cold; Fiona's eight-year-old daughter Lily didn't return home from her dance recital that afternoon. Terrified that Lily will be the next victim of a twisted and dangerous individual, Lottie takes the case into her own hands, risking her life when she comes face-to-face with the killer. Book The Union of Isis and Thoth

Download or read book The Union of Isis and Thoth written by Normandi Ellis and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2015-11-17 with total page 433 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An initiatic guide to temple construction on the spiritual and physical planes • Details the initiations for consecrating yourself as a divine vessel • Guides you in building a sacred inner temple for connecting with the gods of Egypt • Delivers shamanic journeys and initiations on ascension, shamanic death and renewal, soul retrieval and healing, multidimensional realities, and more Deep within each of us lives a primal memory of a time when the natural world was recognized as divine and our temples were built from sacred materials enlivened through magic. Temples were not places you visited once a week; they were centers of community, divine work, healing, and wisdom, places where Heaven and Earth meet. This union of Heaven and Earth--the sacred temple--is also a union of Thoth and Isis: the Egyptian god of wisdom and the creative cosmic force and the Egyptian goddess of civilizing knowledge. Their relationship established the celestial teachings on Earth, for Thoth taught Isis all the mysteries and magic she knows and Isis acted as Thoth’s instrument to deliver the teachings in a form humanity could use. In this initiatic guide to temple building on the spiritual and physical planes, Normandi Ellis and Nicki Scully explain how to create a communal spiritual structure for connecting with the ancient Egyptian pantheon as well as how to consecrate yourself and become a vessel suitable for divine wisdom and a home for your personal gods. The authors detail the construction, shamanic visioning, and ritual consecration of a Moon Temple dedicated to Thoth. They explore teachings that help you develop relationships with the Egyptian neteru and realize your place within the family of the Egyptian pantheon. They guide you as you create your inner heart temple, the adytum, a safe place in which to receive guidance and access your higher spiritual bodies and oracular gifts. They provide shamanic journeys and initiations on ascension, shamanic death and renewal, soul retrieval and healing, multidimensional realities, and more. By creating a sacred temple within and without, we each can take part in the union of Isis and Thoth and restore the magic of the Egyptian mysteries to our time.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychiatry remains an emerging discipline. Many people suffer from ailments that have no apparent cause, no obvious cure. Quite by accident, while using hypnotherapy, Dr. Modi discovered that pastlife regression can be a beneficial treatment. Many of these patients, under hypnosis, claimed to have spirits attached to their bodies and energy fields, creating psychological and physical problems. Based on years of experience, Dr. Modi describes techniques that release these spirits, revealing how patients can sometimes recover within a few sessions. While most doctors would agree that emotional states affect our health, few would give credence to spiritual "influences." In this truly groundbreaking book, Dr. Modi presents evidence that something beyond the physical affects the health of many people, and urges medical scientists to objectively assess this revolutionary approach to mental and, often, physical illness. Pioneers have the courage to put aside the status quo and evaluate what the evidence shows, even if it defies the prevailing logic of the time. Both physicians and the general public should explore the pioneering work of Dr. Modiwork which no doubt has produced many remarkable healings.
