Book Mirror Image Swing Plane

Download or read book Mirror Image Swing Plane written by Glenn A. Bautista and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2012-05-01 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fine Tuning the Golf Swing with PGA Golf Professional John “Jack” Henry Saffold I may have played this game for quite sometime now but that does not mean that I am properly executing my golf swing for my self and for my game. Not until I have, actually, visually translated everything that I have read, learned, applied and experimented on about the golf swing, that I have begun to understand which type of golf swing works for me. I encourage you to try the “fine tuning tips” I have included in this book. They may just work for your golf swing and enhance your enjoyment of the game! And why it may work this time? Albert Einstein, once wrote: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” That is the key to a creative life and to any sport. And it is very much applicable to the golf swing. Much like a visual artist, we must start to learn how to maximize the use of the “third eye”. The “third eye” is what Einstein calls imagination. In this book, we will very lightly touch on the basics of the golf swing which most of you already know but will proceed right away to how we can use our imagination in executing the proper golf swing. Introduction by John “Jack” Henry Saffold: I met Glenn Bautista at the Hillcrest Golf Club in Alvin, Texas, in 2011 and he immediately became part of the group. Glenn asked for golf lessons, I readily agreed. Right away, as we started, I noticed he possessed a sense of humor and showed a great ability to grasp and understand the golf swing as I presented it to him. We worked through grip, posture and balance and, then, the full swing to balance. We covered putting, chipping and pitching the ball. We talked about the philosophy of the game and the point of taking the “Practice Swing” from the practice area to the course. Glenn's book contains a lot of procedural information and I very much enjoyed reading it. I hope it will widen your understanding of golf from a visual artist's perception. Book excerpt: Not since Ben Hogan in the 1950s has a dominant player so thoroughly addressed golf's central enigma: how to develop and repeat an effective swing, the only way any player can hope to truly improve. In the early '90s, after years of struggle and determination, Nick Price emerged as the world's finest golfer,"striking the ball," as Ben Crenshaw observed, "as well as anyone since Ben Hogan or Byron Nelson." From his childhood in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), through many seasons on the European tour, to his PGA Championship and British Open victories, Price's abiding keynote has been perseverance, and his passion the art and science of the swing. For players at all levels, Price now reveals the game's essential elements -- from grip and set-up and downswing, to the short game and effective putting -- in both theory and practice. Drawing on his own influences, remarkable experiences, and intense study, his program combines both athletic and mental requirements, and offers all golfers the lasting rewards of long-term improvement -- the promise at the heart of the game. A classic of instruction, with all the wisdom and personality of one of the world's most accomplished and engaging champions.

Book Mach s Philosophy of Science

Download or read book Mach s Philosophy of Science written by J. Bradley and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2013-11-07 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dr Bradley's aim is to provide a work which will introduce readers to the philosophical standpoint employed by Mach in his expositions of physics. The author shows how Mach traces out the evolution of the metrical concepts of heat and mechanics, and includes a discussion of his reformulation of Newton's dynamical principles. Mach's view that we have a semi-awareness of both time and temperature is considered: there is no 'Mach Principle' in Mach's writings; the use of the term by Einstein and others has led to confusion, which the author attempts to remove. The newcomer to the philosophy of science is led to an insight into the methods of one who has had a major influence on the subject.

Book Lectures on Topological Fluid Mechanics

Download or read book Lectures on Topological Fluid Mechanics written by Mitchell A. Berger and published by Springer. This book was released on 2009-05-28 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Helmholtz's seminal paper on vortex motion (1858) marks the beginning of what is now called topological fluid mechanics. After 150 years of work, the field has grown considerably. In the last several decades unexpected developments have given topological fluid mechanics new impetus, benefiting from the impressive progress in knot theory and geometric topology on the one hand, and in mathematical and computational fluid dynamics on the other. This volume contains a wide-ranging collection of up-to-date, valuable research papers written by some of the most eminent experts in the field. Topics range from fundamental aspects of mathematical fluid mechanics, including topological vortex dynamics and magnetohydrodynamics, integrability issues, Hamiltonian structures and singularity formation, to DNA tangles and knotted DNAs in sedimentation. A substantial introductory chapter on knots and links, covering elements of modern braid theory and knot polynomials, as well as more advanced topics in knot classification, provides an invaluable addition to this material.

Book The Diary of a 10 to 14 Handicapper

Download or read book The Diary of a 10 to 14 Handicapper written by Philip Moses and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2014-05-02 with total page 87 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a saying that makes the claim that the only way to become an expert at something is to have first made every mistake possible. If that were true, then I should be the best golfer in the world. I’ve seen good golfers, and I’ve seen great golfers. I grew up during a time when golf wasn’t even on the map. We played team sports for the most part like baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. At the age of eighteen, I realized that these activities were going to come to a screeching halt soon and needed to find something else. So I took up golf. There was a problem back then for the athletes in my era. We were ingrained with a “baseball” swing, and that just doesn’t cut it for golf. The weight stayed on the right side, and the swing was from the outside in. Hitting fat shots and big, roundhouse slices were the norm. What could I do?
