Download or read book El Cuerpo un Espacio Pedag Gico written by Norma Delia Dur N. Amavizca and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2012-07 with total page 447 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Sal De Sales written by Celina Llamas de Martinez Martelo and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2023-06-28 with total page 587 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is Bilingual (English and Spanish) Prologue: This is the Golden Gate of Triumph when written without hesitation with the hope that readers will find on each page a fountain of spiritual teachings that do not affect the faith of those who live in the Love of God. There are two kinds of writers: Those who write for life and those who write for the soul. At each point, there is the suspense of joy that produces a fountain of clear, unbound knowledge without the hypocrisy that often clouds the intrinsic form of spontaneity. Here we are not making a worldly analysis but a spiritual euphoria that will leave in each life the balm enough to transform the soul. These verses, like this index, are not mine; they are inspired by God in my long nights of Worship and Hope. I know there are and will be great skeptics because to believe in it, one needs to be close to God and to understand that divine power cannot be wrong by giving the world what is not the soul’s balm. “Here, end my words, and I begin my poems,” says the Lord.

Download or read book Verses Against the Darkness written by Greg Dawes and published by Bucknell University Press. This book was released on 2006 with total page 334 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Verses Against the Darkness: offers a new assessment of Pablo Neruda's poetry by looking at the intersection of his aesthetic method and political radicalism from 1925 to 1954. It challenges the canonical view that Neruda was a gifted verse maker who, in 1936, let himself be carried away by the excesses of communist politics. Instead, by focusing primarily on Tercera residencia (1935-1945), Greg Dawes argues for an uneven yet steady evolution and continuity in Neruda's work, politics, and morality. Dawes relies on historical accounts, biographies, literary history, and criticism - and on Neruda's political and aesthetic theory - to prove that his poetry became, contrary to received critical opinion, more sophisticated literarily and politically as he became more radicalized during the Spanish Civil War and World War II and as he developed his dialectical realism or guided spontaneity. Greg Dawes is Associate Professor of Latin American and World Literatures at North Carolina State University and is the editor of the on-line journal A contracorriente.
Download or read book Six Masters of the Spanish Sonnet written by Willis Barnstone and published by SIU Press. This book was released on 1997 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With poems selected and translated by one of the preeminent translators of our day, this bilingual collection of 112 sonnets by six Spanish-language masters of the form ranges in time from the seventeenth to the twentieth centuries and includes the works of poets from Spanish America as well as poets native to Spain. Willis Barnstone's selection of sonnets and the extensive historical and biographical background he supplies serve as a compelling survey of Spanish-language poetry that should be of interest both to lovers of poetry in general and to scholars of Spanish-language literature in particular. Following an introductory examination of the arrival of the sonnet in Spain and of that nation's poetry up to Francisco de Quevedo, Barnstone takes up his six masters in chronological turn, preceding each with an essay that not only presents the sonneteer under discussion but also continues the carefully delineated history of Spanish-language poetry. Consistently engaging and informative and never dull or pedantic, these essays stand alone as appreciations--in the finest sense of that word--of some of the greatest poets ever to write. It is, however, Barnstone's subtle, musical, clear, and concise translations that form the heart of this collection. As Barnstone himself says, "In many ways all my life has been some kind of preparation for this volume."
Download or read book The Poetry of Antonio Machado written by Xon De Ros and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2015-06-25 with total page 293 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study offers a reappraisal of the contribution of the poet Antonio Machado to Modernism, seeking to open up new perspectives for the interpretation of his poetry, and includes for the first time a comparative analysis of Machado's translators into English. While the book is attentive to areas of recent critical debate, the argument keeps Machado's poems to the fore, with new detailed readings of many of his most significant poems. The reader will find that the structure of this book also allows for a separate exploration of each of Machado's main poetic tendencies. One associated with the Symbolist poetics is considered in Chapter I dealing with those early poems where the sound of water acquires a rich symbolic meaning. An emphasis on the visual imagination is more prevalent in the material studied in chapters II and III with a focus on the natural landscape, while the more conceptual and intellectual strand occupies Chapter IV. Every individual chapter begins with a brief introduction to the theoretical ground related to the specific discussion (on gender, space-place, the sublime, and translation, respectively), and a survey of the cultural discourses which situate the material under analysis in the original historical contexts.
Download or read book Valkirie written by Gabriel GARIBAY and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2014-06-20 with total page 783 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. VALKIRIE tells the story of contemporary Mexico ́s history, specially through the last twelve years dominated by an erratic and strange drug war against the cartels and its connections with important politicians, business men and global corporations. Vivian walks inside a purple cloud after Mexico ceased to exist, walking among mexicans who doesn ́t know they are already dead. Its a novel composed in chapters that represent heads, hands, legs and hearts dismembered. VALKIRIE may be a fiction but its well documented in reality. As Vivian, one of its characters, says, "it ́s written by the voices unheard, by the lost ones, the dissapeared: the testimony of the dead that still walk around us". VALKIRIE its a trip, a trance, a dark tour de force inside the mind of a girl induced by a new and powerful illegal drug in a plot that has to do with the attempt to kill the president...or two.
