Book excerpt: Real World Application of the Judeo-Christian faith for the Military, Intelligence, and Law Enforcement communities. Principles and guidelines for those serving in all nations and cultures. The Lord God says “Thou shalt not kill”, yet kill we do. Cain killed Abel. Criminals steal, destroy, and kill. Soldiers kill the enemy. The enemy kills us. Then comes the day you pull the trigger and send someone into eternity. You did what must be done. Some say it had to be done, but you still sinned. Others say it’s all a sin and should not be done it all. But, where does that leave you? This book has the answers. Is “Thou shalt not kill” really that cut and dry? Are there Biblical precedents or provisions for Christians to do what is necessary in the line of duty without sinning? Is doing your duty, to God and Country, the dirty work, really a sin? No, it’s just the opposite. What God authorizes and the support He provides will surprise, encourage, and empower you. Minsters of Vengeance Gives Biblical guidance during undercover ops: for lying, stealing, sabotage, and more. Looks at subjects like lethal force authority, and different religious views of warfare. Draws a blueprint for prayer and a covenant mindset toward the enemy and for yourself. Discusses PTSD; concepts of mental, emotional and physical healing, help, and prevention. Examines spiritual gifts and help from the Holy Spirit and angels for the dirty work. Tackles the Problem of Evil and presents a Biblical Just War Theory or Doctrine of Violence. Pro Deo Et Patria (For God and Country)

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is revenge, and what purpose does it serve? On the early modern English stage, depictions of violence and carnage—the duel between Hamlet and Laertes that leaves nearly everyone dead or the ghastly meal of human remains served at the end of Titus Andronicus—emphasize arresting acts of revenge that upset the social order. Yet the subsequent critical focus on a narrow selection of often bloody "revenge plays" has overshadowed subtler and less spectacular modes of vengeance present in early modern culture. In Civil Vengeance, Emily L. King offers a new way of understanding early modern revenge in relation to civility and community. Rather than relegating vengeance to the social periphery, she uncovers how facets of society—church, law, and education—relied on the dynamic of retribution to augment their power such that revenge emerges as an extension of civility. To revise the lineage of revenge literature in early modern England, King rereads familiar revenge tragedies (including Marston's Antonio's Revenge and Kyd's The Spanish Tragedy) alongside a new archive that includes conduct manuals, legal and political documents, and sermons. Shifting attention from episodic revenge to quotidian forms, Civil Vengeance provides new insights into the manner by which retaliation informs identity formation, interpersonal relationships, and the construction of the social body.

Book excerpt: This inspirational adventure burns its way through a strange world called the Oklahoma Indian Territory, an exciting but unusual place where people don't think speak or live like we do. Judge Story's "not necessarily by the book" deputies are not in a battle to bring civilization to the raw frontier, they're in a war. Arguably the most violent period in America's history is coming to a close. But as the civil fires smoke out a new flame kindles in the most rugged and dangerous region of the country, and Jeremy Rush is thrown into the blaze.Horsewhipped and left for dead, the lightning-fast but likeable Rush hangs up his Confederate rifle and takes down his matched Colts. His trail partner, Rocklin Jamieson, an emotionally charged sharpshooter, is primed and ready to join him in tracking down and killing his attackers. To do that "legally" in the Indian Territories they'll need U.S. Deputy Marshal's badges. The law of the gun demands blood. The law of the land demands justice. But the law of Christ demands a whole lot more. Which will it be?The stakes are life and death for both men as they walk a hair-raising razor's edge between darkness and light!
