Mina Gonzalez has everything a woman her age could wish or hope for. She has it all: a fine-ass husband who leads one of the biggest drug cartels in the world; two beautiful children, several successful beauty salons and friends that love and adore her. But hold up, Mina isn't at ease. Something doesn't feel right. On the surface, everything seems perfect. Victor is still the doting, loving husband he's always been, but her spirit keeps telling her that trouble is on the horizon and something keeps whispering in her ear, what are you doing, my love. Mina finds herself questioning her sanity, her man and their marriage. Refusing to be played, she goes searching for answers. The only question is, after she learns the truth, can she save herself and Victor from drowning or will everything they've worked so hard for come tumbling down? Will she only hurt herself or will everyone be sorry? Her suspicions are causing a love drought in their union that they may not be able to move forward from. All Mina really wants is what she's never stopped craving - happily ever after!

Book A Year of Vengeance

    Book Details:
  • Author : Edward Stratford
  • Publisher : Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG
  • Release : 2017-09-25
  • ISBN : 1501507184
  • Pages : 422 pages

Download or read book A Year of Vengeance written by Edward Stratford and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2017-09-25 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite siginificant advances in annual chronology, the Old Assyrian trade fundamentally lacked a regime of time at the level of the merchant’s commercial and personal activities. In this book, Stratford sets out to recapture time through narrative, drawing on the relationship between the two described by the philosopher Paul Ricouer. Investigating a possible case of revenge leads to weaving together more than a hundred mostly undated documents to form a narrative within the course of a single year of vengeance, including trade disruptions, illnesses, and commerce. This process demonstrates relationships between document and material context, and time and narrative. Along the way, Old Assyrian commercial time and its tempos become more clear, leading to descriptions of the scale of the trade and the nature of Old Assyrian archives as they have survived. Ultimately, the Assyrians involved appear as the earliest historical individuals in world history. The treatment of Šalim-aḫum’s apparent revenge comprises a practicuum in historical interpretation in the ancient world of interest to practitioners and theoreticians of both the ancient world and world history.

Book Trustworthy Open Self Organising Systems

Download or read book Trustworthy Open Self Organising Systems written by Wolfgang Reif and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2016-06-20 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book treats the computational use of social concepts as the focal point for the realisation of a novel class of socio-technical systems, comprising smart grids, public display environments, and grid computing. These systems are composed of technical and human constituents that interact with each other in an open environment. Heterogeneity, large scale, and uncertainty in the behaviour of the constituents and the environment are the rule rather than the exception. Ensuring the trustworthiness of such systems allows their technical constituents to interact with each other in a reliable, secure, and predictable way while their human users are able to understand and control them. "Trustworthy Open Self-Organising Systems" contains a wealth of knowledge, from trustworthy self-organisation mechanisms, to trust models, methods to measure a user's trust in a system, a discussion of social concepts beyond trust, and insights into the impact open self-organising systems will have on society.
