If we acknowledge a duty we must acknowledge the necessity of preparing to perform it. If we do not prepare we are evading our duty. In the Index to Subjects reference is made in each case to the group in which the subject will be found. In order to find all the works upon any subject it will be well to look through the entire group containing the subject. In this way not only all the special works, but all the general works touching the subject will be discovered. There are, however, exceptions to this rule; 6.
