Download or read book A Hand Book On Microstation Software written by Dannie Frisinger and published by . This book was released on 2021-05-06 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: MicroStation was initially developed by Bentley Systems and sold and supported by Intergraph in the 1980s. The latest versions of the software are released solely for Microsoft Windows operating systems, but historically MicroStation was available for Macintosh platforms and several Unix-like operating systems. From its inception, MicroStation was designed as an IGDS (Interactive Graphics Design System) file editor for the PC. Its initial development was a result of Bentley Systems' experience developing PseudoStation released in 1984, a program designed to replace the use of proprietary Intergraph graphic workstations to edit DGN files by substituting the much less expensive Tektronix compatible graphics terminals. MicroStation provides CAD capabilities and the power and versatility to precisely view, model, document, and visualize information-rich designs of all types and scales, for professionals working in every discipline on infrastructure projects of every conceivable type. The book that comes in three volumes follows a step-by-step approach and focuses on developing a strong understanding of MicroStation basics and providing hands-on experience of the tools and features to the readers.
