Book Secrets of Past Lives

Download or read book Secrets of Past Lives written by Wayne Cook and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2018-04-20 with total page 1243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A group once counting millions of practitioners successfully uncovered fantastic amounts of information concerning the universe. Discovering anything about the universe outside our small world is an extreme rare event in history. Technically, such depth of information never occurred at any time on Earth, including data recovered by the Magi. This group, Scientology, recovered a profound amount of data, some of which is related within Secrets of Past Lives. Millions of practitioners independently acquired this information before evil destroyed them as a group. Before the downfall, hundreds of thousands of people and more recovered much of the secrets contained within this work. As there are no further people recovering in that church, there is no longer need to keep their secrets from you and from being lost for eternity. For the most part, this book is about you. Your history, your past and what is in your present. Also, Secrets reveals how ability and sanity at least equal to the sanest person you ever met this life can once again become your own without the need of that lost church. Sanity turns out to be nothing like most of us were led to believe. This book contains myriad aspects of this universe in its complexity and its utter simplicity never even suspected, such as what is going on in our world, the solar system, the local group and the entire universe. Revealed are a few great mysteries of science, secrets of Ancient Egypt, continental drift, why we are here, astronomical oddities and a vastly greater understanding of life. You will learn of who controls the core of space and why. You will find out why no one is in control of the remainder. You will discover what causes sunspots, variable densities of space, how our atmosphere smells and why. You will learn why magic does not work well unless it is fun. You will find out why gurus sit on mountaintops. You will find out why and who keep this vital and fascinating data from us. In our past, as we gazed at stars and saw magic and mystery, as we attempted to live on Earth, we fell to share opinions of what is reality from those who yelled the loudest. Our world became a twisted, warring, dangerous place no person should endure. This book dedicates to removing millennia of misinformation to set our sights once more on finding reality out of the ranting of Authority. To the chance of fulfilling our greatest desire: to discover a way to rejoin better worlds. Although reading these secrets is dangerous, you may key-in deeply, you will never look upon life the same again. It is not easy, it is not without risk, but wouldnt you rather know?

Book Frankenstein revisited

Download or read book Frankenstein revisited written by Miriam Borham Puyal and published by Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca. This book was released on 2018-12-17 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Egypt as a Monster in the Book of Ezekiel

Download or read book Egypt as a Monster in the Book of Ezekiel written by Safwat Marzouk and published by Mohr Siebeck. This book was released on 2015-06-05 with total page 316 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Appealing to Monster Theory and the ancient Near Eastern motif of "Chaoskampf," Safwat Marzouk argues that the paradoxical character of the category of the monster is what prompts the portrayal of Egypt as a monster in the book of Ezekiel. While on the surface the monster seems to embody utter difference, underlying its otherness there is a disturbing sameness. Though the monster may be defeated and its body dismembered, it is never completely annihilated. Egypt is portrayed as a monster in the book of Ezekiel because Egypt represents the threat of religious assimilation. Although initially the monstrosity of Egypt is constructed because of the shared elements of identity between Egypt and Israel, the prophet flips this imagery of monster in order to embody Egypt as a monstrous Other. In a combat myth, YHWH defeats the monster and dismembers its body. Despite its near annihilation, Egypt, in Ezekiel's rhetoric, is not entirely obliterated. Rather, it is kept at bay, hovering at the periphery, questioning Israel's identity.

Having saved the refugees from the mining dungeon and inviting them into Norsewood, Quinn and her hunky warrior husband Aldric now concentrate on the rebuilding of their community and land. Naturally, with Quinn, no projects she touches are ever considered modest. Just as things are going smoothly, with Christmas celebrations and Quinn and Aldric revealing their love for one another, the elf and dwarf refugees plead for aid to save their famishing nations. Now, Quinn, Aldric, and the people of Norsewood not only have to come up with a method to feed hundreds of thousands of starving elves and dwarves, but protect their land and people from an unanticipated attack, too. Book This Impermanent Earth

Download or read book This Impermanent Earth written by Douglas Carlson and published by University of Georgia Press. This book was released on 2021-09 with total page 426 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With its thirty-three essays, This Impermanent Earth charts the course of the American literary response to the twentieth century’s accumulation of environmental deprivations. Arranged chronologically from 1974 to the present, the works have been culled from The Georgia Review, long considered an important venue for nonfiction among literary magazines published in the United States. The essays range in subject matter from twentieth-century examples of what was then called nature writing, through writing after 2000 that gradually redefines the environment in increasingly human terms, to a more inclusive expansion that considers all human surroundings as material for environmental inquiry. Likewise, the approaches range from formal essays to prose works that reflect the movement toward innovation and experimentation. The collection builds as it progresses; later essays grow from earlier ones. This Impermanent Earth is more than a historical survey of a literary form, however. The Georgia Review’s talented writers and its longtime commitment to the art of editorial practice have produced a collection that is, as one reviewer put it, “incredibly moving, varied, and inspiring.” It is a book that will be as at home in the reading room as in the classroom.

Book Monsters of Film Fiction and Fable

Download or read book Monsters of Film Fiction and Fable written by Lisa Wenger Bro and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2018-07-27 with total page 412 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Monsters are a part of every society, and ours is no exception. They are deeply embedded in our history, our mythos, and our culture. However, treating them as simply a facet of children’s stories or escapist entertainment belittles their importance. When examined closely, we see that monsters have always represented the things we fear: that which is different, which we can’t understand, which is dangerous, which is Other. But in many ways, monsters also represent our growing awareness of ourselves and our changing place in a continually shrinking world. Contemporary portrayals of the monstrous often have less to do with what we fear in others than with what we fear about ourselves, what we fear we might be capable of. The nineteen essays in this volume explore the place and function of the monstrous in a variety of media – stories and novels like Baum’s Oz books or Gibson’s Neuromancer; television series and feature films like The Walking Dead or Edward Scissorhands; and myths and legends like Beowulf and The Loch Ness Monster – in order to provide a closer understanding of not just who we are and who we have been, but also who we believe we can be – for better or worse.

Book Animals Anthropomorphism and Mediated Encounters

Download or read book Animals Anthropomorphism and Mediated Encounters written by Claire Parkinson and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-07-23 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book critically investigates the pervasiveness of anthropomorphised animals in popular culture. Anthropomorphism in popular visual media has long been denounced for being unsophisticated or emotionally manipulative. It is often criticised for over-expressing similarities between humans and other animals. This book focuses on everyday encounters with visual representations of anthropomorphised animals and considers how attributing other animals with humanlike qualities speaks to a complex set of power relations. Through a series of case studies, it explores how anthropomorphism is produced and circulated and proposes that it can serve to create both misunderstandings and empathetic connections between humans and other animals. This book will appeal to academics and students interested in visual media, animal studies, sociology and cultural studies.
