Book METHODES STATISTIQUES DE SELECTION D ARCHITECTURES NEURONALES

Download or read book METHODES STATISTIQUES DE SELECTION D ARCHITECTURES NEURONALES written by DOMINIQUE.. URBANI and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES RESEAUX DE NEURONES FORMELS CONNAISSENT DEPUIS QUELQUES ANNEES UN DEVELOPPEMENT IMPORTANT, NOTAMMENT DANS LE DOMAINE DE L'AUTOMATIQUE ET DE LA COMMANDE DE PROCESSUS. CEPENDANT, PEU DE TRAVAUX ABORDENT LE PROBLEME DE LA SELECTION DE MODELES: LA SELECTION CONSISTE A DETERMINER LES ENTREES ET L'ARCHITECTURE DU MODELE AFIN QUE CELUI-CI SOIT TOUT A LA FOIS PERFORMANT (POSSEDANT DE BONNES CAPACITES DE GENERALISATION) ET PARCIMONIEUX (LA COMPLEXITE DE SA STRUCTURE EST MINIMALE, AFIN DE REDUIRE LE NOMBRE DE CALCUL). D'AUTRE PART, L'INTERET CROISSANT POUR LES RESEAUX DE NEURONES A CONDUIT A LA CONCEPTION DE CIRCUITS DEDIES AUX APPLICATIONS NEURONALES. OR, LA REALISATION DE TELS CIRCUITS EST D'AUTANT PLUS FACILE QUE LEUR STRUCTURE EST SIMPLE. DANS CETTE DOUBLE OPTIQUE, NOUS NOUS SOMMES INTERESSES AU PROBLEME DE LA SELECTION DE MODELES NEURONAUX. DES METHODES HEURISTIQUES DE SELECTION ONT ETE PROPOSEES DANS LA LITTERATURE, MAIS NOUS AVONS CHOISI D'UTILISER DES METHODES STATISTIQUES, QUI REPOSENT SUR DES BASES THEORIQUES SOLIDES. LE PROBLEME A ETE ABORDE DANS LE CADRE PARTICULIER DE LA MODELISATION DE PROCESSUS DYNAMIQUES NON LINEAIRES. APRES AVOIR POSE LE PROBLEME DE LA MODELISATION DE PROCESSUS, NOUS PROPOSONS UNE PROCEDURE DE SELECTION DE MODELES NARX QUI SE DECOMPOSE EN TROIS PHASES: DANS LA PREMIERE PHASE, LE PROCESSUS EST ETUDIE DANS PLUSIEURS ZONES LOCALES DE FONCTIONNEMENT, DANS LESQUELLES SON COMPORTEMENT PEUT ETRE APPROCHE A L'AIDE DE MODELES SIMPLES, LINEAIRES PAR RAPPORT AUX PARAMETRES. UN MODELE NEURONAL DU PROCESSUS, VALIDE SUR TOUT LE DOMAINE DE FONCTIONNEMENT DU PROCESSUS, ET DONT LES ENTREES SONT CELLES SELECTIONNEES LORS DE LA PREMIERE PHASE, EST ALORS CONSTRUIT. DE NOUVELLES SELECTIONS SONT EFFECTUEES POUR REDUIRE SI NECESSAIRE SES ENTREES (DEUXIEME PHASE), PUIS LE NOMBRE DE SES NEURONES (TROISIEME PHASE). CETTE PROCEDURE EST APPLIQUEE A PLUSIEURS PROCESSUS NARX SIMULES

Download or read book METHODES STATISTIQUES DE SELECTION DE MODELES NEURONAUX APPLICATIONS FINANCIERES ET BANCAIRES written by HERVE.. STOPPIGLIA and published by . This book was released on 1997 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LE TRAVAIL PRESENTE DANS CE MEMOIRE TRAITE DE L'EVALUATION, A L'AIDE DE RESEAUX DE NEURONES, DE L'ETAT DE SANTE FINANCIERE DE COLLECTIVITES LOCALES OU D'ENTREPRISES. DANS UN PREMIER TEMPS, NOUS RAPPROCHONS CETTE EVALUATION D'UN PROBLEME DE CLASSIFICATION ; NOUS EXPLIQUONS POURQUOI CE TYPE DE PROBLEME PEUT ETRE AVANTAGEUSEMENT RESOLU AVEC DES METHODES STATISTIQUES DE CLASSIFICATION COMME LES RESEAUX DE NEURONES. LES CHAPITRES SUIVANTS PRESENTENT ET DEFINISSENT PLUS PRECISEMENT LES CONCEPTS DE LA CLASSIFICATION, LES METHODES USUELLES DE CLASSIFICATION, LES RESEAUX DE NEURONES AINSI QUE L'APPRENTISSAGE DE CEUX-CI. DANS LES APPLICATIONS ENVISAGEES, L'INDIVIDU A CLASSER (COLLECTIVITE LOCALE OU ENTREPRISE) PEUT ETRE DECRIT PAR UNE TRES GRANDE QUANTITE DE VARIABLES (DONNEES COMPTABLES, FISCALES, SOCIO-ECONOMIQUES, ETC) ; CE CONSTAT NOUS A CONDUIT A ETUDIER LES METHODES DE SELECTION DE MODELES. NOUS PROPOSONS UNE METHODE STATISTIQUE ORIGINALE DE SELECTION DES VARIABLES DESCRIPTIVES PERTINENTES. CETTE METHODE SERT EGALEMENT A LA SELECTION DU MODELE NEURONAL. LA DERNIERE PARTIE DE CE MEMOIRE CONCERNE LES APPLICATIONS INDUSTRIELLES DE CES TRAVAUX ; LA PREMIERE CONCERNE L'ANALYSE FINANCIERE DES ENTREPRISES, LA SECONDE L'ANALYSE FINANCIERE DES COLLECTIVITES LOCALES. L'APPORT ORIGINAL DE CETTE ETUDE CONCERNE TROIS DOMAINES : - SELECTION DE VARIABLES : NOUS AJOUTONS UNE VARIABLE ALEATOIRE AUX AUTRES VARIABLES DESCRIPTIVES AFIN DE DISTINGUER CELLES QUI SONT REELLEMENT PERTINENTES. - SELECTION DE MODELES : NOUS UTILISONS LA METHODE PRECEDENTE POUR SELECTIONNER LES SEULS NEURONES UTILES DANS UN RESEAU DE NEURONES A UNE COUCHE CACHEE. - CLASSIFICATION : NOUS INVERSONS LA FORMULE DE BAYES POUR ESTIMER LES FONCTIONS DENSITE DE PROBABILITE AVEC DES APPROXIMATEURS TELS QUE LES RESEAUX DE NEURONES. EN CE QUI CONCERNE L'ANALYSE FINANCIERE DES ENTREPRISES, CE TRAVAIL A DEBOUCHE SUR UNE APPLICATION OPERATIONNELLE A LA CAISSE DES DEPOTS ET CONSIGNATIONS DEPUIS 1995.

Book Artificial Neural Networks in Hydrology

Download or read book Artificial Neural Networks in Hydrology written by R.S. Govindaraju and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-09 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: R. S. GOVINDARAJU and ARAMACHANDRA RAO School of Civil Engineering Purdue University West Lafayette, IN. , USA Background and Motivation The basic notion of artificial neural networks (ANNs), as we understand them today, was perhaps first formalized by McCulloch and Pitts (1943) in their model of an artificial neuron. Research in this field remained somewhat dormant in the early years, perhaps because of the limited capabilities of this method and because there was no clear indication of its potential uses. However, interest in this area picked up momentum in a dramatic fashion with the works of Hopfield (1982) and Rumelhart et al. (1986). Not only did these studies place artificial neural networks on a firmer mathematical footing, but also opened the dOOf to a host of potential applications for this computational tool. Consequently, neural network computing has progressed rapidly along all fronts: theoretical development of different learning algorithms, computing capabilities, and applications to diverse areas from neurophysiology to the stock market. . Initial studies on artificial neural networks were prompted by adesire to have computers mimic human learning. As a result, the jargon associated with the technical literature on this subject is replete with expressions such as excitation and inhibition of neurons, strength of synaptic connections, learning rates, training, and network experience. ANNs have also been referred to as neurocomputers by people who want to preserve this analogy.

Book FinTech in Financial Inclusion Machine Learning Applications in Assessing Credit Risk

Download or read book FinTech in Financial Inclusion Machine Learning Applications in Assessing Credit Risk written by Majid Bazarbash and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2019-05-17 with total page 34 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent advances in digital technology and big data have allowed FinTech (financial technology) lending to emerge as a potentially promising solution to reduce the cost of credit and increase financial inclusion. However, machine learning (ML) methods that lie at the heart of FinTech credit have remained largely a black box for the nontechnical audience. This paper contributes to the literature by discussing potential strengths and weaknesses of ML-based credit assessment through (1) presenting core ideas and the most common techniques in ML for the nontechnical audience; and (2) discussing the fundamental challenges in credit risk analysis. FinTech credit has the potential to enhance financial inclusion and outperform traditional credit scoring by (1) leveraging nontraditional data sources to improve the assessment of the borrower’s track record; (2) appraising collateral value; (3) forecasting income prospects; and (4) predicting changes in general conditions. However, because of the central role of data in ML-based analysis, data relevance should be ensured, especially in situations when a deep structural change occurs, when borrowers could counterfeit certain indicators, and when agency problems arising from information asymmetry could not be resolved. To avoid digital financial exclusion and redlining, variables that trigger discrimination should not be used to assess credit rating.

  • Publisher : vdf Hochschulverlag AG
  • Release : 2008
  • ISBN : 3728131954
  • Pages : 330 pages

Download or read book Anti ageing Medicine written by Astrid Stuckelberger and published by vdf Hochschulverlag AG. This book was released on 2008 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 21st century technological development is revolutionizing medicine and health care, bringing new hopes to human suffering by offering cures and treatments which were unthinkable a few decades ago. This is where anti-ageing medicine finds its niche. Anti-ageing medicine aims at slowing, arresting, and reversing phenomena associated with ageing by merging biotechnological innovation and engineered solutions. Ideally, by means of the newest medical technology, the "body machinery" should be kept fit and at peak performance all life long. Early detection of age-related dysfunction should thus be "fixed" at any age with interventions such as metabolic fine tuning, enhancement, regeneration, restoration or replacement of "body parts" (i.e. organs, skin, bone or muscle). It covers a vast array of domains: from cell therapy to pharmaceutical interventions, from bio-surgery to aesthetic surgery, from human enhancement to fortified food, from smart housing and robots to toxic-free environments. Anti-ageing medicine holds promises but also significant risks and safety issues which are addressesd in this book. It presents the latest scientific evidence on what works or does not work. It also provides public policy recommendations to ensure the protection of consumers and their rights while encouraging research and development. This book is intended for academics, health professionals, business persons, consumers and policy-makers interested in the latest evidence and ethical issues about anti-ageing medicine.
