Book Mere Grain of Sand

Download or read book Mere Grain of Sand written by Ray Brown and published by Tagman Press (UK). This book was released on 2004-07-01 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Mere Grain of Sand is the extraordinary story of Britain's most remarkable healer. Ray Brown is a trance medium and for up to seven hours each working day he allows his body to be occupied by a remarkable 'spiritual surgeon' who in the past thirty-seven years has undisputedly healed thousands of people in Britain, Africa, Europe and Asia whom conventional medicine could not help. That surgeon says he is Paul of Tarsus, who 2000 years ago helped found the Christian religion. Employing advanced medical science techniques, he says he has returned not only to heal and ease suffering but to teach a non-Christian spirituality and answer positively that age-old question: do we really survive physical death? This dramatically intertwined story of Ray, his wife Gillian and Paul could easily grace a Hollywood blockbuster.

Book Volume 6 Tome I Kierkegaard and His German Contemporaries Philosophy

Download or read book Volume 6 Tome I Kierkegaard and His German Contemporaries Philosophy written by Jon Stewart and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-05-15 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume explores in detail Kierkegaard's various relations to his German contemporaries. Kierkegaard read German fluently and made extensive use of the writings of German-speaking authors. Apart from his contemporary Danish sources, the German sources were probably the most important in the development of his thought generally. This volume represents source-work research dedicated to tracing Kierkegaard's readings and use of the various German-speaking authors in the different fields in a way that is as clearly documented as possible. The volume has been divided into three tomes reflecting Kierkegaard's main areas of interest with regard to the German-speaking sources, namely, philosophy, theology and a more loosely conceived category, which has here been designated "literature and aesthetics." This first tome treats the German philosophical influences on Kierkegaard. The dependence of Danish philosophy on German philosophy is beyond question. In a book review in his Hegelian journal Perseus, the poet, playwright and critic, Johan Ludvig Heiberg laments the sad state of philosophy in Denmark, while lauding German speculative philosophy. Moreover, Kierkegaard's lifelong enemy, the theologian Hans Lassen Martensen claims without exaggeration that the Danish systems of philosophy can be regarded as the "disjecta membra" of earlier German systems. All of the major German idealist philosophers made an impact in Denmark: Kant, Fichte, Schelling, and most significantly, Hegel. Kierkegaard was widely read in the German philosophical literature, which he made use of in countless ways throughout his authorship.

Book Genesis of the Shakespearean Works

Download or read book Genesis of the Shakespearean Works written by Peter D Matthews and published by Bassano Publishing House. This book was released on 2017-06-11 with total page 556 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the result of fourteen years research scrutinizing thousands of historical documents. Dr Matthews reveals never before seen facts regarding the earliest quartos and the first folio – even new research into the leather cover of the Bodleian first folio and how that particular copy came into the possession of the Turbutt family. Dr Matthews has forensically dated the majority of the Shakespearean plays twenty years before earlier scholars, such as Rowe, Malone and Chambers – some plays dated as early as 1561, 1559 and 1558 – up to six years before William Shakespeare was born. Dr Matthews’ exemplary philosophical dissertation of the Shakespearean works and its critics, reveals much about the identity of the real authors. A unique reference work essential to Shakespearean scholars and students alike – this crucial work redates the Shakespearean works, scrutinizes each candidate, and definitively answers the authorship debate.
