Se analizan todos los procesos relacionados con el flujo logístico y se identifican aquellos aspectos con posibilidad de mejora. Se selecciona uno y se proponen soluciones. El documento contiene una descripción detallada del operador logístico, de sus sistemas actuales, y realiza propuestas de cambio para los procesos de distribución logística, para el caso concreto de un cliente del sector de la automoción. Se definen los conceptos que contextualizan el proyecto. Dado que el proyecto se centra en la distribución logística de una mercancía muy específica, las motocicletas de dos ruedas, en éste primer capítulo se hace una breve descripción del mercado de éste producto. Luego se presenta al operador logístico y en concreto, los servicios y la metodología empleada para el cliente en cuestión, siendo relevantes las fortalezas y debilidades del operador. Además, se realiza una simulación de la distribución actual, con el objetivo de poder comparar los resultados de las propuestas de mejora. Se desarrolla una propuesta para la reducción de los vehículos utilizados en la distribución de motocicletas en España. Se detallan los cambios que debe realizar el operador en sus procesos logísticos y las ventajas que le aportan. Luego se identifican otras posibles vías de mejora para posteriores proyectos que quiera desarrollar el operador. Por último se realiza un análisis del impacto económico y medio ambiental que tendrá realizar los cambios propuestos en el esquema logístico del operador, y se extraen las conclusiones finales.
