Book excerpt: Jerg Hernich (George Henry) Ernsperger (ca. 1720-ca. 1754) was born in the lower Palatine, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1737 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Magdalen Rausch (1726-1802) at Lancaster, Pennsylvania ca. 1741. They had five children. Record chiefly follows line of descent to Daniel Henry Ernsberger (1854-1936). He was born in Monroe Township, Richland County, Ohio, the son of Washington (Ernst) Ernsberger (1827-1915). He married Cordelia (Edith) Buzzard (1877-1944) in 1877 at Medina, Ohio. They had seven children, 1878-1896. The family lived in several places in the central Ohio area. Daniel and Cordelia died at Butler, Ohio. Descendants lived in Ohio, Florida and elsewhere. .
