Download or read book Marriage Metanoia written by Jai Turner and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-08-01 with total page 29 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is for any individual who desires to do what aEURoethus says the LordaEUR regardless of who may not like or understand their conviction. If you desire to marry, or your marriage is going through hardships, this book gives scriptural foundation of Covenant Marriage and GodaEUR(tm)s divine design. Cultural norms are more widely accepted in these last days than ever before in the history of Christianity. God will direct our focus on something that He wants to bring salvation to: marriage is the topic that kept coming up for me. The church is resembling the world in the area of divorce at an alarming rate. God laid this subject heavily upon my heart as an entreaty to His people that, although it may be difficult, God desires to bring healing and restoration to kingdom marriage. He is promoting the message of a faith-based marriage for a lost and fallen world. Marriage has been compromised by a worldly connotation of what marriage is in GodaEUR(tm)s sight. He has called you to be set apart, and He will strengthen you to stand in faith. Read and study the biblical principles of marriage and truly seek God before, during, and after, for His will for your home. Many of the passages of scripture that I studied to gain the knowledge that I now have I unfortunately did not know prior to getting married. There is a plan of the enemy to destroy families, and he works however he can. Wherever he can find a crevice to sneak in, to destroy and bring about dissension, he actively looks and searches. He realizes that if he can separate the mother and the father, itaEUR(tm)s a lot easier to bring about the demise of the children. Christians have to be ever-vigilant against the trickery of the enemy and safeguard marriage along with the Holy Spirit to bring glory to the Lord, that others may see His restorative power, His healing nature, His love for His creations, and His power in bringing about His purpose and plans in our lives. Essentially, this is the information that I should have had before matrimony. May God guide you in all truth as you read this book. Be blessed.

  • Pages : 348 pages

Download or read book The Metanoia Method written by Heather McKean and published by . This book was released on 2021-03-08 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Look around you. You've noticed it, right? The Christian community seems to be looking more and more like the world around us: grief, chronic illness, mental health challenges, broken marriages, addiction--aren't these supposed to be the things Jesus sets us free from? And yet, it doesn't seem to be working anymore, does it? Has the Gospel of Jesus somehow lost its' power? Absolutely not! Kent and Heather McKean served in the full-time ministry for over 15 years across the United States and abroad, which has provided a unique insight into some of the challenges facing members and leaders alike within the Christian churches. For years, Kent and Heather tried to ignore the growing discontent and disillusionment they witnessed in their congregations and within themselves until Heather found herself near death. After years of suffering from debilitating chronic illness, Heather used the methods described in this book to heal from all major health issues. She also experienced an unexpected but radical transformation in her faith and relationship with God. Kent witnessed his wife's incredible change and was inspired to dig deep into his limiting beliefs around himself and God, finding profound transformation in his own life. From that time on, they answered the call to share this information with the world.Since 2013, Kent and Heather McKean have been on a journey of discovery. Through their personal work and work with hundreds of clients worldwide, the McKean's created the Metanoia Method(R) to help people understand God's intended connection between the brain, body, and Bible. The Greek word used for repentance in the Bible is metanoia, meaning "mind change." True biblical repentance (metanoia) requires a radical change of mind. Using the latest research in brain science, psychoneuroimmunology, quantum psychology, and the mind/body connection, Kent and Heather show us how the Bible not only backs up the latest scientific findings but expands upon them. Mind-opening and life-altering, The Metanoia Method is sure to stir heart and soul. Now more than ever, we need to challenge the beliefs of our "brokenness" and step into faith and healing. Are you ready to change your mind?

Book A Christian Perspective on Family Issues

Download or read book A Christian Perspective on Family Issues written by Winifredo Nierras, Ph.D, J.D and published by Winifredo Nierras. This book was released on with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book provides a discussion about marital and family life which are filled with many challenges, each with its joys, difficulties, hopes, and often riddled with issues, conflicts, and problems. Although sometimes their solutions are elusive, the book strongly argues that strong family life with solid marriages still remains the rule rather than the exception. Thus, the Christian perspective in dealing with family issues is profoundly necessary to be taught to our students, married couples, and those who intend to get married. The primary objective of the book is to offer perspectives and theories that would strengthen every family through the precepts of God and His Church.

Book Sex and the Marriage Covenant

Download or read book Sex and the Marriage Covenant written by John Kippley and published by Ignatius Press. This book was released on 2014-01-23 with total page 438 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The thesis of this book is that God intends that sexual intercourse should be at least implicitly a renewal of the marriage covenant. From this it follows that the marriage covenant provides the criterion to evaluate the morality of every sexual act. Thus the title, Sex and the Marriage Covenant, is an appropriate description of the bookಙs contents. Marriage comes into being by a couple unreservedly entering God's covenant of marriage; contraceptive intercourse contradicts the very essence of the marriage covenant. From these considerations, Kippley developed the covenant theology of sexuality described in this book.

Book The Great Good Thing

    Book Details:
  • Author : Andrew Klavan
  • Publisher : Zondervan
  • Release : 2016-09-20
  • ISBN : 0718017366
  • Pages : 296 pages

Download or read book The Great Good Thing written by Andrew Klavan and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2016-09-20 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No one was more surprised than Andrew Klavan when, at the age of fifty, he found himself about to be baptized. The Great Good Thing tells the soul-searching story of a man born into an age of disbelief who had to abandon everything he thought he knew in order to find his way to the truth. Best known for his hard-boiled, white-knuckle thrillers and for the movies made from them--among them True Crime and Don’t Say a Word--bestselling author and Edgar Award-winner Klavan was born in a suburban Jewish enclave outside New York City. He left the faith of his childhood behind to live most of his life as an agnostic until he found himself mulling over the hard questions that so many other believers have asked: How can I be certain in my faith? What's the truth, and how can I know it's the truth? How can you think, live, and make choices and judgments day by day if you don't know for sure? In The Great Good Thing, Klavan shares that his troubled childhood caused him to live inside the stories in his head and grow up to become an alienated young writer whose disconnection and rage devolved into depression and suicidal breakdown. In those years, Klavan fought to ignore the insistent call of God, a call glimpsed in a childhood Christmas at the home of a beloved babysitter, in a transcendent moment at his daughter's birth, and in a snippet of a baseball game broadcast that moved him from the brink of suicide. But more than anything, the call of God existed in stories--the stories Klavan loved to read and the stories he loved to write. Join Klavan as he discovers the meaning of belief, the importance of asking tough questions, and the power of sharing your story.

Book The Supernatural Powers in the Marriage Sacrament Christ s Unique Saving Gift to Husband and Wife

Download or read book The Supernatural Powers in the Marriage Sacrament Christ s Unique Saving Gift to Husband and Wife written by Jeff Edward Poulin and published by BookLocker.com, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-04-10 with total page 187 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Entrenched in the teachings of the Church and enriched by the Bible is an untapped wealth of truth and what Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Casti Connubii calls “supernatural powers” concerning sacramental marriage that awaits those willing to undergo the journey. In this book, The “Supernatural Powers” in the Marriage Sacrament, those who seek will indeed find that through a systematic and tenable development of marriage, its mystery is not only illustrated and unveiled, but perpetuated in the supernatural gifts that Christ has embedded in this vocational Sacrament. Throughout these pages, as the marital union unfolds through the lens of Christ across the Old and New Testaments, Christian spouses will be moved by the depth of their own calling and inspired with renewed vigor to pick up the torch and to live out that life - a life which has been ordained by God in holiness as a truly unique and efficacious revelation of the redeeming power of Christ. In Part I of The “Supernatural Powers” in the Marriage Sacrament, the first seven chapters are specifically designed to led deacons, catechists, and lay Catholics - especially husbands and wives - to learn through a gradual yet intensively biblical and theological journey towards the unveiling of the unique redeeming gift to spouses - that which is seen, established and empowered through Christ at the Cross. Here one finds the specific dynamics of that Sacramental gift unpacked, and the sound spiritual evidence laid out for why there is such an absence of this marital fruit in our modern era. In Part II, Poulin then unpacks in greater detail how marriage and the gender of husband and wife serve as a revelation about man, salvation, and the Blessed Trinity; and just how the religious life falls within that plan without contradiction or constraint. Lastly in Part III, Jeff Poulin puts under the microscope through the lens of the Church the powerful words of St. Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:14 and defends the charge that the simplest Catholic explanation - that which is often dismissed - merits a serious second look!
