This book was released on 2021-09-09 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is written to encourage and inspire those that are facing challenges in life. Barbara is a woman that grew up in a large family, in which she is the seventh child of nine children. From the time she was born, she was faced with many different health challenges. Through all the problems she endured, she believed in her heart that it was only a test. She always believed God could do the impossible. The Power of God in a Testimony is a memoir compiled of short stories and various testimonies that consist of miraculous healings that God performed in her life and her family. In one of her lowest moments, you will see how God strengthened her to go through one of the greatest obstacles of her life. She will tell her testimony of how God healed her of stage 4 cancer three times and stage 2 cancer twice. All was done within ten years. She will also tell the miraculous healing that God performed in her parents and sibling's life. You will see how God healed her father of a massive stroke, her mother of a compressed vertebrae, her brothers of a cardiac arrest and colon cancer, and her sisters of heart problems and cancer. You will also witness the healing of others. She will also tell of how God miraculously blessed her with jobs and opened doors, financially, for her. When it seems like doors were shut, God always provided. After all she has gone through, she is determined to hold on to God and not let her faith waiver. She has dedicated her life to God and continues to share her testimony.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you have doubts about God? Do you think He has stopped working in our lives in this modern world? Do you believe He stopped caring after the Bible was assembled? Well... He did not. He continues to interact with humans today. Meet Dawn. She was raised upon solid Christian values, but for many years she ignored God's signs in her life. She played hard, made poor choices and found herself in quite a few scrapes. Luckily, God did not abandon her. When she finally had enough dark days, she went in search of Him. She was rewarded, just as the Bible says, when He gave her a wondrous gift - the gift of His presence, along with a grace message for modern day spiritual warriors. This is one woman's testimony of stubbornness, until God delivered her a much-needed message of hope.

Book Love in the Gospel of John

Download or read book Love in the Gospel of John written by Francis J. SDB Moloney and published by Baker Academic. This book was released on 2013-11-19 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The command to love is central to the Gospel of John. Internationally respected scholar Francis Moloney offers a thorough exploration of this theme, focusing not only on Jesus's words but also on his actions. Instead of merely telling people that they must love one another, Jesus acts to make God's love known and calls all who follow him to do the same. This capstone work on John's Gospel uses a narrative approach to delve deeply into a theme at the heart of the Fourth Gospel and the life of the Christian church. Uniting rigorous exegesis with theological and pastoral insight, it makes a substantive contribution to contemporary Johannine scholarship.

  • Author : Paul N. Anderson
  • Publisher : Society of Biblical Lit
  • Release : 2007
  • ISBN : 9781589832930
  • Pages : 0 pages

Download or read book John Jesus and History written by Paul N. Anderson and published by Society of Biblical Lit. This book was released on 2007 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the last two centuries, many scholars have considered the Gospel of John off-limits for all quests for the historical Jesus. That stance, however, creates a new set of problems that need to be addressed thoughtfully. The essays in this book, reflecting the ongoing deliberations of an international group of Johannine and Jesus scholars, critically assess two primary assumptions of the prevalent view: the dehistoricization of John and the de-Johannification of Jesus. The approaches taken here are diverse, including cognitive-critical developments of Johannine memory, distinctive characteristics of the Johannine witness, new historicism, Johannine-Synoptic relations, and fresh analyses of Johannine traditional development. In addition to offering state-of-the-art reviews of Johannine studies and Jesus studies, this volume draws together an emerging consensus that sees the Gospel of John as an autonomous tradition with its own perspective, in dialogue with other traditions. Through this challenging of critical and traditional assumptions alike, new approaches to John’s age-old riddles emerge, and the ground is cleared for new and creative ways forward.

Book The Gospel According to John

Download or read book The Gospel According to John written by D. A. Carson and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 1991 with total page 736 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This commentary seeks above all to explain the text of John's Gospel to those whose privilege and responsibility it is to minister the Word of God to others, to preach and to lead Bible studies. I have tried to include the kind of information they need to know, but to do so in such a way that the informed layperson could also use the work in personal study of the Bible, exclusively for purposes of personal growth in edification and understanding. In particular, I have attempted: (1) To make clear the flow of the text. (2) To engage a small but representative part of the massive secondary literature on John. (3) To draw a few lines towards establishing how the Fourth Gospel contributes to biblical and systematic theology. (4) To offer a consistent exposition of John's Gospel as an evangelistic Gospel. - Preface.
