La inclusión de la familia o cuidador (a)como intervención de tratamiento y cuidado, promueve la comprensión y el bienestar del paciente, así como también la reducción y prevención de la sobrecarga familiar, y el aumento de los recursos de apoyo en el entorno familiar. Este manual proveerá, a familiares y cuidadores de pacientes con TB, información y herramientas prácticas para el manejo efectivo del diagnóstico, emociones asociadas al rol de cuidado y la prevención de la sobrecarga familiar.
