La última unidad del libro se ocupa de la planificación, seguimiento y evaluación de proyectos de tiempo libre, cerrando de esta forma el círculo de contenidos abierto con la primera unidad. Todas las unidades han sido diseñadas para que el alumno consiga unos resultados de aprendizaje óptimos y que el profesor disponga de una guía didáctica completa donde pueda encontrar todos los contenidos propuestos por el currículo del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte. El libro se ha elaborado desde la experiencia profesional y docente de los autores, está diseñado desde una perspectiva global, integral y completa, y con un enfoque tanto teórico como práctico. La explicación de los contenidos se apoya en numerosos recursos: actividades propuestas, tablas, imágenes, esquemas, fichas de actividades, cuadros aclaratorios y con información importante, etc. Asimismo, al final de cada unidad se incluye un mapa conceptual que sintetiza e integra todo lo estudiado.
