Download or read book Diagn stico pedag gico written by Pascual Gómez, Isabel and published by Editorial UOC. This book was released on 2016-08-16 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book International Handbook of Cognitive and Behavioural Treatments for Psychological Disorders

Download or read book International Handbook of Cognitive and Behavioural Treatments for Psychological Disorders written by V.E. Caballo and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1998-11-27 with total page 713 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This handbook shows the wide perspective cognitive-behavioural treatment can offer to health professionals, the vast majority of whom now recognize that cognitive behavioural procedures are very useful in treating many 'mental' disorders, even if certain disciplines continue to favour other kinds of treatment. This book offers a wide range of structured programmes for the treatment of various psychological/psychiatric disorders as classified by the DSM-IV. The layout will be familiar to the majority of health professionals in the description of mental disorders and their later treatment. It is divided into seven sections, covering anxiety disorders, sexual disorders, dissociative, somatoform, impulse control disorders, emotional disorders and psychotic and organic disorders. Throughout the twenty-three chapters, this book offers the health professional a structured guide with which to start tackling a whole series of 'mental' disorders and offers pointers as to where to find more detailed information. The programmes outlined should, it is hoped, prove more effective than previous approaches with lower economic costs and time investment for the patient and therapist.

Book Linguistic Rhythm and Literacy

Download or read book Linguistic Rhythm and Literacy written by Jenny Thomson and published by John Benjamins Publishing Company. This book was released on 2016-03-10 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The intersection of sound processing, speech production, and literacy is a promising and growing area of study. This volume showcases recent empirical research exploring the association between linguistic rhythm and reading. Linguistic rhythm does not easily assume a single definition, which is part of the motivation for this volume, and subsumes constructs including suprasegmental phonology, prosody, intonation and stress. The twelve papers collected here are the product of a gathering of like-minded researchers from the disciplines of linguistics, psycholinguistics, developmental psychology, cognitive neuroscience and education. The resulting chapters cover topics including the following: developmental interactions between linguistic rhythm and reading and spelling, relationships between rhythm and dyslexia, and cross-linguistic variation in the relationship between lexical stress and orthography. This book will be of interest to researchers and graduate students in the fields of linguistics, human communication, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology and literacy.

Book Physical Education Initiatives for Early Childhood Learners

Download or read book Physical Education Initiatives for Early Childhood Learners written by Gil-Madrona, Pedro and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2021-04-02 with total page 431 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In early childhood education, children find in their own body and movement the main way to get in touch with the reality that surrounds them and, therefore, acquire knowledge about the environment in which they grow and develop. Undoubtedly, the progressive discovery of the body itself as a source of feelings and sensations, as well as exploring the different possibilities of action and bodily functions, constitutes necessary experiences on which children's thinking is built. Furthermore, the affective relationships established in psychomotor education situations, and particularly through play, are essential for the emotional development of children. Physical Education Initiatives for Early Childhood Learners offers globalized educational practices, didactic approaches, and proposals for intervention around motor development in the children ages 0-6 years. The book specifically explores laterality, coordination, relaxation, rhythm, etc. and how these are achieved through games, music, and motor stories. This book is ideal for early childhood educators, physical education teachers, administrators, daycares, preschools, early childhood learning centers, researchers, academicians, and students interested in physical education’s role in early child development.
