Book Manual de psicolog a de la salud

Download or read book Manual de psicolog a de la salud written by Isaac Amigo Vázquez and published by Ediciones Pirámide. This book was released on 2020-09-03 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Preventing Health and Environmental Risks in Latin America

Download or read book Preventing Health and Environmental Risks in Latin America written by Ma. Luisa Marván and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-04-17 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book addresses environmental and medical issues that could risk our well-being, our health, or even cause death. Some of the issues analysed could have negative consequences not only today but also for future generations if not prevented in time. With regard to health risks, the authors discuss several diseases that could be avoided if people perform (or avoid) certain behaviours and become accustomed to having healthier habits. Concerning environmental hazards, the authors discuss which social groups should be taken into account based on preventive strategies used to avoid a particular disaster. Both sections of the book on health and environmental issues have a subsection with chapters about risks and society. No matter the risk-related discipline the reader is familiar with, when he ends reading the book, it will become clear that risk analysis is the basis for prevention, and that it cannot be addressed from a single discipline nor with a single methodology.

Book Applications of the Unified Protocol in Health Conditions

Download or read book Applications of the Unified Protocol in Health Conditions written by Jorge Osma and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2023-09-22 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: People diagnosed with different health conditions often experience emotional disorders or anxiety and depressive symptoms at some point. The Unified Protocol (UP) is a transdiagnostic treatment protocol that aims to improve emotion regulation difficulties contributing to emotional disorder symptoms (including comorbidity) and other affective components related to the physical disease. In Applications of the Unified Protocol in Health Conditions, the leading UP experts provide valuable insights to clinicians into how the UP--a single, scalable, cognitive behavioral therapy protocol--can be modified in relatively minor ways to address the emotional difficulties that often accompany these health conditions in different treatment settings. This book provides clinicians with a "how to" guide for using the UP to treat a range of commonly encountered mental health issues that are present in health conditions in adults. Each chapter focuses on a specific health condition and provides a rationale for using the UP in treatment, a description of how to apply core UP treatment modules, and guidance on making adaptions to the protocol. Application of the protocol is illustrated through case studies that include case conceptualization, treatment planning, and assessment of clinical outcomes.

Book Chaos

    Book Details:
  • Author : Manuel Almendro
  • Publisher : The Written Spiral
  • Release : 2014-01-20
  • ISBN : 1629341800
  • Pages : 391 pages

Download or read book Chaos written by Manuel Almendro and published by The Written Spiral. This book was released on 2014-01-20 with total page 391 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the history of humanity as well as in the brief and recent history of the new paradigms in science, we find theories of the way the heavens and the earth are or should be. In this book our intention is to examine in depth those that build bridges. Humanity and consciousness are positioned as the foundation of the human being in the face of those who would reduce him to a genetic robot. Based on many years of work in the field, we are offering a possible doorway to healing as a bridge of knowledge in day-to-day life so that my masters, my patients, can receive what they have taught me: the magic of transforming an obstacle into a lever. This book is therefore both theoretical and practical, in order to assist in resolving those painful repetitions of our ancestors’ lives-blind programming and painful wounds, with a view to finding a healing path (nature’s, and therefore evolution’s, secret) in which the psychology of complexity serves to reconcile us with life in our afflicted and opportune world.

Book International Handbook of Cognitive and Behavioural Treatments for Psychological Disorders

Download or read book International Handbook of Cognitive and Behavioural Treatments for Psychological Disorders written by V.E. Caballo and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1998-11-27 with total page 713 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This handbook shows the wide perspective cognitive-behavioural treatment can offer to health professionals, the vast majority of whom now recognize that cognitive behavioural procedures are very useful in treating many 'mental' disorders, even if certain disciplines continue to favour other kinds of treatment. This book offers a wide range of structured programmes for the treatment of various psychological/psychiatric disorders as classified by the DSM-IV. The layout will be familiar to the majority of health professionals in the description of mental disorders and their later treatment. It is divided into seven sections, covering anxiety disorders, sexual disorders, dissociative, somatoform, impulse control disorders, emotional disorders and psychotic and organic disorders. Throughout the twenty-three chapters, this book offers the health professional a structured guide with which to start tackling a whole series of 'mental' disorders and offers pointers as to where to find more detailed information. The programmes outlined should, it is hoped, prove more effective than previous approaches with lower economic costs and time investment for the patient and therapist.
