Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Male Modeling for Amateurs, an Uncensored Guide. I have been asked several times over the years by men that want to try amateur modeling, to see if I would consider writing a book to help and give a little information and insight in to amateur male modeling, this book is directed at and written for the average guy of all ages, big, small, short, tall, young or old, who have always wanted to try amateur male modeling and pose for photographers, artists, and painters, etc. . Doesn't matter if you're a student, accountant, cashier, mechanic, bartender, construction worker, military, landscaper, unemployed, or even retired, anyone can be an amateur model. I personally have photographed men from 18 years old to 56 years old. Please remember that this book is being written with “YOU” in mind and that anything said is designed to help you, no matter if this is just going to be a hobby or side thing, or you one day have hopes of breaking in to professional modeling in the hopes of it becoming a career. No matter where you live, most likely there are professional and amateur photographers, artists, painters, etc., and they all may need male models to pose for them. Some of this information also applies to being a more professional model, I have chosen to use a much more down to earth approach, because it seems in many circumstances however crude that this is more understandable to younger men, although I am speaking to all ages. So here we are “amateur” male modeling, I say amateur because that's the area I want to discuss specifically. I wrote this book for the everyday guys out there, whom would like to consider male modeling as a side job or hobby, a few times a month or maybe as a weekend thing. Side modeling can be fun and also put a little extra cash in your pocket! This is meant to be a straight forward uncensored guide to amateur male modeling, I'm going to talk about the possibilities, the benefits and pitfalls, including the stuff no one ever mentions. Also look for the "Davis Icon" picture books and "Cover Series" picture books. This book is 94 pages, for Book, computer download, and Kindle. Thank You NOW AVAILABLE In Book and Kindle, in English Edition (red cover)or Spanish Edition (green cover).

Book excerpt: “[This] breezy beach read features dazzlingly beautiful boys, steamy sex . . . love and revenge” —from the author of Daytime Drama (Publishers Weekly). Designing window displays for the glamorous Cameron Fuller USA store on Rodeo Drive is Blake Jackson’s passion. After all, handsome, elegant designer Cameron Fuller is an icon of chic style. Blake has often fantasized about the married Cameron, but he’s completely unprepared to meet him in the flesh . . . Working side by side, the two men experience an overpowering attraction, and soon, they’re engaged in a whirlwind secret affair, played out on private planes, in New York penthouses, behind office doors and in a remote, exotic beach house. For Blake, life with Cameron has its drawbacks—the secrecy and sneaking around—but it’s sexier and more tender than he ever could have hoped . . . and it’s about to get hotter. In need of a fresh look to launch his new cologne, Cameron finds it in his lover’s chiseled cheekbones, ice-blue eyes, long, dark hair and hunky, six-pack abs. It’s an offer Blake can’t refuse, and within weeks, he’s gone from shop-boy to poster god. But someone is unhappy about Blake’s sudden rise to fame, and the growing love between the designer and his model . . . someone who knows their secrets . . . someone determined to make them pay dearly. And as the days tick down until the celebrity-packed party that will launch Blake’s star, it’s clear that the only way Cameron and Blake can hold on to what they have is to let go of everything else . . .

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a book about life modeling. Unlike the painter whose name appears beside his finished portrait, the life model, posing nude, perhaps for months, goes unacknowledged. Standing at a unique juncture—between nude and naked, between high and low culture, between art and pornography—the life model is admired in a finished sculpture, but scorned for her or his posing. Making use of extensive interviews with both male and female models and quoting them frequently, Sarah R. Phillips gives a voice to life models. She explores the meaning that life models give to themselves and to their work and seeks to understand the lived experience of life models as they practice their profession. Throughout history, people have romanticized life models in an aura of bohemian eroticism, or condemned them as strippers or sex workers. Modeling Life reveals how life models get into the business, managing sexuality in the studio, what it means to be a "muse," and why their work is important.

  • Author : Max Kuhn
  • Publisher : Springer Science & Business Media
  • Release : 2013-05-17
  • ISBN : 1461468493
  • Pages : 595 pages

Download or read book Applied Predictive Modeling written by Max Kuhn and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-05-17 with total page 595 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Applied Predictive Modeling covers the overall predictive modeling process, beginning with the crucial steps of data preprocessing, data splitting and foundations of model tuning. The text then provides intuitive explanations of numerous common and modern regression and classification techniques, always with an emphasis on illustrating and solving real data problems. The text illustrates all parts of the modeling process through many hands-on, real-life examples, and every chapter contains extensive R code for each step of the process. This multi-purpose text can be used as an introduction to predictive models and the overall modeling process, a practitioner’s reference handbook, or as a text for advanced undergraduate or graduate level predictive modeling courses. To that end, each chapter contains problem sets to help solidify the covered concepts and uses data available in the book’s R package. This text is intended for a broad audience as both an introduction to predictive models as well as a guide to applying them. Non-mathematical readers will appreciate the intuitive explanations of the techniques while an emphasis on problem-solving with real data across a wide variety of applications will aid practitioners who wish to extend their expertise. Readers should have knowledge of basic statistical ideas, such as correlation and linear regression analysis. While the text is biased against complex equations, a mathematical background is needed for advanced topics.
