Book Magnetic Properties of Metals Magnetic and Electric Properties of Magnetic Metallic Multilayers

Download or read book Magnetic Properties of Metals Magnetic and Electric Properties of Magnetic Metallic Multilayers written by Yoshiyuki Kawazoe and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-06-06 with total page 1063 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The subject of this volume is to present both the numerical and graphical data on the magnetic and electrical properties of magnetic metallic multilayers which are composed with stacking up of double layers of thin films, one layer of which is at least the magnetic layer of 3d metals (M) or rare earth ones (R). Furthermore the data of the trilayers which have a top layer and bottom one of magnetic elements are also presented.

Book Magnetic Properties of Metals

Download or read book Magnetic Properties of Metals written by H.P.J. Wijn and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the last decades the knowledge of the magnetic properties of the d transition elements and of their metallic alloys and compounds has increased widely. The improvement of preparation techniques for well-defined substances, the development of sophisticated measuring methods and above all the drive to obtain more insight in the origin of magnetic interactions in solids have resulted in the publication of many specific magnetic properties for an abundance of all kinds of metallic materials. The data assembled in this booklet are selected from the comprehensive compilation of magnetic and related properties of metals in the Landolt-Bornstein New Series Group III sub volumes 19a, band c. It has been attempted to include preferentially those properties which are of a basic character and which therefore are most often needed by scientists active in the field of solid state magnetism. In the field of magnetism, there is a gradual transition from the use of cgs/emu units to SI units. It was, however, not intended to represent all data in the units of one system, regardless of how nice this would have been from a systematic point of view. Instead, mostly preference was given to the system of units that was originally used by the authors whose work is quoted. Thus cgs/ emu units occur most frequently. Of colirse the user of the tables and figures is helped in several ways to convert the data to the units which he is most familiar with, see, e. g.

Book Compounds Between Rare Earth Elements and 3d 4d or 5d Elements Verbindungen von Seltenen Erden mit 3d 4d und 5d Elementen

Download or read book Compounds Between Rare Earth Elements and 3d 4d or 5d Elements Verbindungen von Seltenen Erden mit 3d 4d und 5d Elementen written by E. Burzo and published by Springer. This book was released on 1990-09-12 with total page 545 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volume 19 of Group III (Crystal and Solid State Physics) deals with the magnetic properties of metals, alloys and metallic compounds. The amount of information available in this field is so substantial that several subvolumes are needed to cover it all. Subvolumes III/19a through III/19f treat the intrinsic magnetic properties, i.e. those magnetic properties which depend only on the chemical composition and the crystal structure. So far, subvolumes III/19a, III/19b, III/19c and III/19e2 have appeared; III/19e1 is due in the near future. Subvolume III/19d is concerned with the magnetic data of metallic compounds of rare elements with the 3d, 4d and 5d transition elements. The present part III/19d2 is the first to be published; part III/19d1 will follow shortly. Data on the properties that depend on the preparation of the samples measured, as for instance, thin films, amorphous alloys or the magnetic alloys used in technical applications, are being compiled in the last subvolumes of III/19: III/19g, III/19h and III/19i, of which III/19g has already appeared.

Book Magnetic Multilayers

Download or read book Magnetic Multilayers written by Lawrence H Bennett and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1994-12-16 with total page 397 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on an increasingly important area of materials science and technology, namely, the fabrication and properties of artificial materials where slabs of magnetized materials are sandwiched between slabs of nonmagnetized materials. It includes reviews by experts on the theory and descriptions of the various experimental techniques such as those using nuclear or electron spin probes, as well as optical, X-ray or neutron probes. It also reviews potential applications such as the giant magnetoresistance, and one specialized preparation technique, the electrodeposition. The various chapters are tutorial in nature, making the subject accessible to nonspecialists, as well as useful to researchers in the field.
