Enfin il s'appuie sur une analyse de retours d'expériences de villes qui ont réalisé des TCSP, notamment celles qui ont développé le réseau de surface. Cet ouvrage s'adresse à tous les acteurs, décideurs ou techniciens du transport urbain chargés de piloter ou de mettre en oeuvre une démarche de choix d'un nouveau système de transport collectif urbain. Il sera utile aussi aux architectes, designers et urbanistes qui recherchent une synthèse technique sur les points fondamentaux du transport collectif. Il intéressera enfin les différentes associations d'usagers sollicitées lors des nombreuses concertations.
