Download or read book M thodes d ionisation dans un spectom tre de masse FTICR transportable written by Christophe Dehon and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Interpr tation des spectres de masse en couplage GC MS cours et exerices corrig s written by BOUCHONNET Stéphane and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2012-09-04 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Gamow Shell Model

    Book Details:
  • Author : Nicolas Michel
  • Publisher : Springer Nature
  • Release : 2021-04-24
  • ISBN : 3030693562
  • Pages : 514 pages

Download or read book Gamow Shell Model written by Nicolas Michel and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-04-24 with total page 514 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides the first graduate-level, self-contained introduction to recent developments that lead to the formulation of the configuration-interaction approach for open quantum systems, the Gamow shell model, which provides a unitary description of quantum many-body system in different regimes of binding, and enables the unification in the description of nuclear structure and reactions. The Gamow shell model extends and generalizes the phenomenologically successful nuclear shell model to the domain of weakly-bound near-threshold states and resonances, offering a systematic tool to understand and categorize data on nuclear spectra, moments, collective excitations, particle and electromagnetic decays, clustering, elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections, and radiative capture cross sections of interest to astrophysics. The approach is of interest beyond nuclear physics and based on general properties of quasi-stationary solutions of the Schrödinger equation – so-called Gamow states. For the benefit of graduate students and newcomers to the field, the quantum-mechanical fundamentals are introduced in some detail. The text also provides a historical overview of how the field has evolved from the early days of the nuclear shell model to recent experimental developments, in both nuclear physics and related fields, supporting the unified description. The text contains many worked examples and several numerical codes are introduced to allow the reader to test different aspects of the continuum shell model discussed in the book.

Book Automatic Segmentation and Clustering of Spectral Terahertz Data

Download or read book Automatic Segmentation and Clustering of Spectral Terahertz Data written by Henrike Stephani and published by Sudwestdeutscher Verlag Fur Hochschulschriften AG. This book was released on 2012 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The goal of this thesis is to find ways to improve the analysis of hyperspectral Terahertz (THz) images. Although it would be desirable to have methods that can be applied on all spectral areas, this is impossible. Depending on the spectroscopic technique, the way the data is acquired differs as well as the characteristics that are to be detected. For these reasons, methods have to be developed or adapted to be especially suitable for the THz range and its applications. This work particularly aims at segmenting or clustering THz data. To achieve this, we propose a course of action that makes the methods adaptable to different kinds of measurements and applications, among those are the security sector and the pharmaceutical industry. State of the art methods will be analyzed and supplemented where necessary, improvements and new methods will be proposed. The course of action includes preprocessing methods to make the data comparable. Furthermore, feature reduction that represents chemical content in about $20$ channels instead of the initial hundreds will be presented. Finally the data will be segmented by efficient hierarchical clustering schemes. Various applications are shown

Book Highly Siderophile and Strongly Chalcophile Elements in High Temperature Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry

Download or read book Highly Siderophile and Strongly Chalcophile Elements in High Temperature Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry written by Jason Harvey and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2016-03-07 with total page 798 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Highly Siderophile and Strongly Chalcophile Elements in High Temperature Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry, Volume 81 This RiMG (Reviews in Mineralogy & Geochemistry) volume investigates the application of highly siderophile (HSE) and strongly chalcophile elements. This volume has its origin in a short course sponsored by the Mineralogical Society of America and the Geochemical Society held in San Diego, California on the 11th and 12th December 2015, ahead of the American Geophysical Union’s Fall Meeting, which featured a session with the same title. Topics in this volume include: analytical methods and data quality experimental constraints applied to understanding HSE partitioning nucleosynthetic variations of siderophile and chalcophile elements HSE in the Earth, Moon, Mars and asteroidal bodies HSE and chalcophile elements in both cratonic and non-cratonic mantle, encompassing both sub-continental and sub-oceanic lithosphere the importance of the HSE for studying volcanic and magmatic processes, and an appraisal of the importance of magmatic HSE ore formation in Earth’s crust. Highly siderophile and strongly chalcophile elements comprise Re, Os, Ir, Ru, Pt, Rh, Pd, Au, Te, Se and S and are defined by their strong partitioning into the metallic phase, but will also strongly partition into sulfide phases, in the absence of metal. The chemical properties of the HSE mean that they are excellent tracers of key processes in high temperature geochemistry and cosmochemistry, having applications in virtually all areas of earth science. A key aspect of the HSE is that three long-lived, geologically useful decay systems exist with the HSE as parent (107Pd-107Ag), or parent-daughter isotopes (187Re-187Os and 190Pt-186Os). The material in this book is accessible for graduate students, researchers, and professionals with interests in the geochemistry and cosmochemistry of these elements, geochronology, magmatic ore bodies and the petrogenesis of platinum-group minerals.
