Book Information Consciousness Reality

Download or read book Information Consciousness Reality written by James B. Glattfelder and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-04-10 with total page 662 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This open access book chronicles the rise of a new scientific paradigm offering novel insights into the age-old enigmas of existence. Over 300 years ago, the human mind discovered the machine code of reality: mathematics. By utilizing abstract thought systems, humans began to decode the workings of the cosmos. From this understanding, the current scientific paradigm emerged, ultimately discovering the gift of technology. Today, however, our island of knowledge is surrounded by ever longer shores of ignorance. Science appears to have hit a dead end when confronted with the nature of reality and consciousness. In this fascinating and accessible volume, James Glattfelder explores a radical paradigm shift uncovering the ontology of reality. It is found to be information-theoretic and participatory, yielding a computational and programmable universe.

Book Quantum Gravity

    Book Details:
  • Author : Carlo Rovelli
  • Publisher : Cambridge University Press
  • Release : 2007-11-29
  • ISBN : 1139456156
  • Pages : 516 pages

Download or read book Quantum Gravity written by Carlo Rovelli and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2007-11-29 with total page 516 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quantum gravity is perhaps the most important open problem in fundamental physics. It is the problem of merging quantum mechanics and general relativity, the two great conceptual revolutions in the physics of the twentieth century. The loop and spinfoam approach, presented in this 2004 book, is one of the leading research programs in the field. The first part of the book discusses the reformulation of the basis of classical and quantum Hamiltonian physics required by general relativity. The second part covers the basic technical research directions. Appendices include a detailed history of the subject of quantum gravity, hard-to-find mathematical material, and a discussion of some philosophical issues raised by the subject. This fascinating text is ideal for graduate students entering the field, as well as researchers already working in quantum gravity. It will also appeal to philosophers and other scholars interested in the nature of space and time.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gravity plays a central role in the dynamics of all astrophysical systems - from stars to the Universe as a whole. This timely volume examines all aspects of gravitational dynamics - from stellar systems and galaxy disks, to the dynamics of the Local Group, large scale structures and motions, galaxy formation and general relativity. Each chapter is written by a world expert renowned for original contributions to the field. The authors are: James Binney, Roger Blandford, David Burstein, Tim de Zeeuw, George Efstathiou, Steve Gull, Nick Kaiser, J. Katz, Donald Lynden-Bell, Ruth Lynden-Bell, Douglas Lin, Jeremiah Ostriker, T. Padmanabhan, J. Papaloizou, Jim Peebles, Jim Pringle, Martin Rees, Maarteen Schmidt, Scott Tremaine and Simon White. This volume provides a broad, pedagogical introduction to gravitational dynamics for graduate students, and an up-to-date review for researchers in cosmology, astrophysics, mathematical physics and applied mathematics.

Book Generalized Coherent States and Their Applications

Download or read book Generalized Coherent States and Their Applications written by Askold Perelomov and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 323 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph treats an extensively developed field in modern mathematical physics - the theory of generalized coherent states and their applications to various physical problems. Coherent states, introduced originally by Schrodinger and von Neumann, were later employed by Glauber for a quantal description of laser light beams. The concept was generalized by the author for an arbitrary Lie group. In the last decade the formalism has been widely applied to various domains of theoretical physics and mathematics. The area of applications of generalized coherent states is very wide, and a comprehensive exposition of the results in the field would be helpful. This monograph is the first attempt toward this aim. My purpose was to compile and expound systematically the vast amount of material dealing with the coherent states and available through numerous journal articles. The book is based on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses I delivered at the Moscow Physico-Technical Institute. In its present form it is intended for professional mathematicians and theoretical physicists; it may also be useful for university students of mathematics and physics. In Part I the formalism is elaborated and explained for some of the simplest typical groups. Part II contains more sophisticated material; arbitrary Lie groups and symmetrical spaces are considered. A number of examples from various areas of theoretical and mathematical physics illustrate advantages of this approach, in Part III. It is a pleasure for me to thank Dr. Yu. Danilov for many useful remarks.
