Book Loud Thoughts of Emotional Silence

Download or read book Loud Thoughts of Emotional Silence written by H. Jerome Alexander and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2014-07-15 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To some people this may just be another poetry book, but to me this is an actual glimpse into my life. My trials, tribulations, and personal issues that I have endured in my life while battling with Bi-Polar disorder. My disorder and personal issues have been used as my inspiration ever since publishing my last book “The Evolution of Love” on February 23, 2012. This book was put together to speak on behalf of those who cannot, the people who have personal issues and are scared to talk about them. The people who are apprehensive to vent their true feelings because of how they may be outcast by society. This book is not intended to glorify or condone dark actions to or for any of my readers. I just want to serve as a vessel for my readers so they know no matter how hard things may be there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how far away it may seem. A wise poet once told me “Poetry is beautiful. It has no beginning or end. It is abstract and serves as intellectual documentation for raw emotions.” I agree with this 100% because poetry is not just therapeutic, it is an art form that does not discriminate by race, religion, size or geographic location. Thanks to poetry I have found ways to creatively stimulate my mind by channeling “raw emotions” to paper and also feeding information to my brain by studying those poets whom I have the pleasure to work with and those greats that have come before me. Thankfully I have a very strong support system in my corner like my mother, sister, and wife. I also want to thank my biggest supports who are my daughters Eyana, Nevaeh, Savina, and the newest addition to the family my son Adrian “A.J” Alexander.

Book excerpt: Cured is truly a story about the power of forgiveness. In 1962 in Choctaw County, Alabama, Carl Ray an 18-year-old black man was questioned by an older white man; but when responding, he failed to address the man as sir as was then customary when speaking to white men. The man severely beat him for being disrespectful. Still enraged, the man later showed up at Rays home, and shot his father eight times on his front porch steps; murdered him in cold blood as the terrified youth looked on helplessly. During the farce of a murder trial that followed, the white mans lawyers blamed Ray for causing his own father's death because he had failed to be respectful. The man was charged with second degree manslaughter. However, he never served a day in prison for the murder. Ray was burdened with the guilt of causing his father's murder; his life would never be the same. In 1984, he was released from his self made prison of guilt when he forgave his fathers murderer. Ray attributes the act of forgiving the man to have been his own life saver.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Where Did You Go? offers deep comfort to anyone who has lost a loved one and hopes to explore what frontier science is now demonstrating: while a heart may stop beating, consciousness never dies.” —Lynne McTaggart, bestselling author of The Field From Christina Rasmussen, the much beloved and acclaimed author of Second Firsts, comes a groundbreaking exploration of the afterlife that combines spirituality with cutting edge science—and reveals we all have the power to connect with our loved ones on the other side. “Where did you go?” This was the first question Christina Rasmussen asked after the death of her husband. A young widow with two daughters, Rasmussen would go on to become an esteemed grief educator who helped countless others rebuild their lives after loss. Yet, even as she learned to thrive again, that first heartbreaking question persisted. Even as she and her clients forged new paths and discovered new joy, the same questions remained: Are we capable of connecting to those who have passed on? What really happens after we die? As a professional grounded in science, Christina was a skeptic who shied away from the conventional mystical, supernatural, and religious descriptions of the afterlife—so she turned to what seemed “provable” to unravel the mystery of life beyond life: physics. What she found was beyond anything she could have expected: not only is there life after death, but we all have the ability to connect with loved ones who have passed on. Sharing an inspiring message of hope, optimism, and love, Where Did You Go? is a transporting step-by-step guide to journeying to the other side, from one of our most trusted voices on life after loss. Bridging the gap between the metaphysical and the measurable, it will change the way we grieve, the way we live and how we define our potential—in this life and the hereafter.
