Book Stress Distributions Caused by Three Types of Loading on a Circular Semimonocoque Cylinder with Flexible Wings

Download or read book Stress Distributions Caused by Three Types of Loading on a Circular Semimonocoque Cylinder with Flexible Wings written by Harvey G. McComb and published by . This book was released on 1954 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Equations are derived for the stress distributions caused by three types of loading on infinitely long, circular, semimonocoque cylinders with flexible rings. These external loads can be said to lie in the sheet-stringer surface of the cylinder; that is, they have no radial components. The results, given as formulas for the stringer loads and shear flows in the shell, are of use in the stress analysis of circular semimonocoque cylinders with cutouts. In order to facilitate this application, the formulas can be used to construct tables of influence coefficients giving stringer loads and shear flows in the neighborhood of each particular external load due to a unit magnitude of that load.

Book Design of Piles Under Cyclic Loading

Download or read book Design of Piles Under Cyclic Loading written by Alain Puech and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2018-01-04 with total page 454 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent developments in the fields of energy, transport and industrial engineering have led to the emergence of new types of structures and infrastructures subject to variable stresses, for which the usual methods for designing pile foundations are now inadequate. The recommendations presented in this book will help to partly fill this technical gap by proposing a methodological approach and calculation methods to take account of the effects of cyclic loads in the design of foundations on piles. These are based on both laboratory and full scale experiments, and on modeling carried out within the framework of the national SOLCYP project.

Book Load Oriented Manufacturing Control

Download or read book Load Oriented Manufacturing Control written by Hans-Peter Wiendahl and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Load-Oriented Manufacturing Control is unique as it gives comprehensive and self-contained principles for the implementation of an appropriate production control technique of general applicability. It is based on the "funnel model", a new approach to scheduling and scheduling control which has an extensive monitoring and diagnosis system. Its most important system components include throughput diagrams, load-oriented order release, schedule-oriented capacity planning and control. The "funnel model" is getting increasing implementation in manufacturing companies. It is available in numerous variants and is especially significant for the job-shop and series production. Load-Oriented Manufacturing Control provides a large number of practical examples and is therefore relatively easy to understand. It offers direct implementation of this new important technique in manufacturing scheduling and control.

Book Drilled Shaft Manual Construction procedures and design for axial loading

Download or read book Drilled Shaft Manual Construction procedures and design for axial loading written by Lymon C. Reese and published by . This book was released on 1977 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Drilled shafts have been used on a limited scale for many years as an alternative to driven piles in a variety of foundation problems. However, uncertainty about the behavior of the drilled shaft has forestalled widespread adoption. The subject package, by Dr. Lymon C. Reese of the University of Texas, is intended for use by bridge engineers, geotechnical engineers, and builders of pile foundations. The manual contains rational procedures and practical guidelines for the design and construction of drilled shaft foundations. Volume I presents a rational design procedure for drilled shafts under axial loading and includes guidelines on construction methods, inspection, load testing, specifications, and cost estimates. Volume II presents alternative methods for computing the response of the shaft to lateral loading and presents the structural design of the shaft for axial and/or lateral loading.

Book Analysis of Electrical Circuits with Variable Load Regime Parameters

Download or read book Analysis of Electrical Circuits with Variable Load Regime Parameters written by A. Penin and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-04-07 with total page 350 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book introduces electric circuits with variable loads and voltage regulators. It allows to define invariant relationships for various parameters of regime and circuit sections and to prove the concepts characterizing these circuits. Generalized equivalent circuits are introduced. Projective geometry is used for the interpretation of changes of operating regime parameters. Expressions of normalized regime parameters and their changes are presented. Convenient formulas for the calculation of currents are given. Parallel voltage sources and the cascade connection of multi-port networks are described. The two-value voltage regulation characteristics of loads with limited power of voltage source is considered. The book presents the fundamentals of electric circuits and develops circuit theorems. It is useful to engineers, researchers and graduate students who are interested in the basic electric circuit theory and the regulation and monitoring of power supply systems.

Download or read book Catapult Loading System written by Joey Myers and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-02-14 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "My son at 10yo (90-lbs) is highly coach-able. I taught him the system in February and he hit well during the season but could only hit the ball around 180'. Then all of a sudden around June he started killing the ball. He was hitting home runs every game and hit a ball at least 250-feet" - Michael Parillo (via email) Sick of struggling to help hitters drive the ball hard with more consistency? Dramatically increase power without sacrificing swing quality. Literally thousands of coaches across the nation are getting predictably positive results with hitters using the CLS system. How? By applying human movement principles validated by REAL science to hitting a ball, and NOT "bro-science." THIS STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO CONSISTENT POWER TEACHES: How to master a handful of human movement principles, so you can slice the "teach hitting" learning curve in half. How to effectively load the body, so your hitters can optimize their batted ball distance potential. How elite-hitters are revealing ways to hit balls with High-Exit-Speeds, swing after swing, using three elements a 4-year-old can understand. Why 'loading and exploding the hips' is bad for lower back, and how to teach hitters a highly effective but SAFE swing. THE NEW EXPANDED EDITION INCLUDES: 'How to practice' section at end of each movement principle Chapter. How to train a 2-year-old to hit a moving ball (proof that NOT only elite hitters can be taught these movements). Why pitchers are taught to pitch around ineffective swing paths, and how to turn their weapon against them. Why coaches MUST focus their hitters' efforts on targeting and elevating pitches low in the zone. How to teach timing and get hitters on-time more often in games.
