Download or read book Linear Networks And Systems Algorithms And Computer aided Implementations In 2 Volumes 2nd Edition written by Wai-kai Chen and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1990-03-01 with total page 904 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This two-volume introductory text on modern network and system theory establishes a firm analytic foundation for the analysis, design and optimization of a wide variety of passive and active circuits. Volume 1 is devoted to the fundamentals and Volume 2 to Fourier analysis and state equations. Its prerequisites are basic calculus, dc and ac networks, matrix algebra, and some familiarity with linear differential equations. The objective of the book is to select and feature theories and concepts of fundamental importance that are amendable to a broad range of applications. A special feature of the book is that it bridges the gap between theory and practice, with abundant examples showing how theory solves problems. Recognizing that computers are common tools in modern engineering, canned computer programs are developed throughout the text, both in the time domain and the frequency domain. In addition to the usual materials in a linear networks and systems book, advanced topics on functions of a matrix that are closely related to the solution of the state equation are included. The reader will find the study of this material rewarding.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a textbook designed to provide analytical background material in the area of Engineering Electromagnetic Fields for the senior level undergraduate and preparatory level graduate electrical engineering students. It is also an excellent reference book for researchers in the field of computational electromagnetic fields. The textbook covers ? Static Electric and Magnetic Fields: The basic laws governing the Electrostatics, Magnetostatics with engineering examples are presented which are enough to understand the fields and the electric current and charge sources. Dynamic Electromagnetic Fields: The Maxwell's equations in Time-Domain and solutions, the Maxwell's equations in Frequency-Domain and solutions. Extensive approaches are presented to solve partial differential equations satisfying electromagnetic boundary value problems. Foundation to electromagnetic field radiation, guided wave propagation is discussed to expose at the undergraduate level application of the Maxwell's equations to practical engineering problems.
Download or read book Low Voltage CMOS Log Companding Analog Design written by Francisco Serra-Graells and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2006-04-18 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Low-Voltage CMOS Log Companding Analog Design presents in detail state-of-the-art analog circuit techniques for the very low-voltage and low-power design of systems-on-chip in CMOS technologies. The proposed strategy is mainly based on two bases: the Instantaneous Log Companding Theory, and the MOSFET operating in the subthreshold region. The former allows inner compression of the voltage dynamic-range for very low-voltage operation, while the latter is compatible with CMOS technologies and suitable for low-power circuits. The required background on the specific modeling of the MOS transistor for Companding is supplied at the beginning. Following this general approach, a complete set of CMOS basic building blocks is proposed and analyzed for a wide variety of analog signal processing. In particular, the covered areas include: amplification and AGC, arbitrary filtering, PTAT generation, and pulse duration modulation (PDM). For each topic, several case studies are considered to illustrate the design methodology. Also, integrated examples in 1.2um and 0.35um CMOS technologies are reported to verify the good agreement between design equations and experimental data. The resulting analog circuit topologies exhibit very low-voltage (i.e. 1V) and low-power (few tenths of uA) capabilities. Apart from these specific design examples, a real industrial application in the field of hearing aids is also presented as the main demonstrator of all the proposed basic building blocks. This system-on-chip exhibits true 1V operation, high flexibility through digital programmability and very low-power consumption (about 300uA including the Class-D amplifier). As a result, the reported ASIC can meet the specifications of a complete family of common hearing aid models. In conclusion, this book is addressed to both industry ASIC designers who can apply its contents to the synthesis of very low-power systems-on-chip in standard CMOS technologies, as well as to the teachers of modern circuit design in electronic engineering.

Download or read book The Mechatronics Handbook 2 Volume Set written by Robert H. Bishop and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-10-08 with total page 1416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first comprehensive reference on mechatronics, The Mechatronics Handbook was quickly embraced as the gold standard in the field. From washing machines, to coffeemakers, to cell phones, to the ubiquitous PC in almost every household, what, these days, doesn’t take advantage of mechatronics in its design and function? In the scant five years since the initial publication of the handbook, the latest generation of smart products has made this even more obvious. Too much material to cover in a single volume Originally a single-volume reference, the handbook has grown along with the field. The need for easy access to new material on rapid changes in technology, especially in computers and software, has made the single volume format unwieldy. The second edition is offered as two easily digestible books, making the material not only more accessible, but also more focused. Completely revised and updated, Robert Bishop’s seminal work is still the most exhaustive, state-of-the-art treatment of the field available.
