Download or read book Words from My Heart written by Sharon Wainwright and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-08-05 with total page 87 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since my second book, " Words of Serenity", so much has happened. We became Great-Grand Parents in December 2010 and Grand-Parents, (#16), two months later, both babies from the same family! Our babies, babies are having babies. Also, I have been hospitalized a couple of times, both somewhat major surgeries, plus more surgeries to be done on my eyes during this summer (2011). So I hope that you will all keep me in your prayers, as you are in mine. As you peruse this book, you will see a "story" titled Pepper & Lucky were #'s 14 and 15 of animals we have lost. We have 2 cats left, Blaze, aka Killer, and Kitty Duval, aka Miss Kitty, both strays that we took in. They will probably be the last. It just hurts too much when you lose them, after all, they are like our children too!! In closing, I hope you enjoy this book. It will probably be my last, ( the old peepers 'ain't' what they used to be). It is also my prayer that these "Words From My Heart" will, in some way, comfort you, make you laugh, or maybe cry, but in the end, ease your pain in some small way. It has eased my pain to be able to write them, with God's help, for your enjoyment.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Download or read book Coded Letters Concealed Love written by Sara Day and published by New Acdemia+ORM. This book was released on 2014-02-26 with total page 522 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A historian uncovers the long-running affair between a famous 19th century author and a female conservationist—through love letters written in code. The Unitarian minister, author, and peace activist Edward Everett Hale was one of the most respected moral leaders of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. Yet, for twenty-five years, he lived a double life. Harriet Freeman worked for a time as Hale’s secretary, but as they make abundantly clear in some 3,000 love letters, they were also lovers—and perhaps even soul mates. Hale’s many biographers depicted his marriage as unerringly faithful, despite the available evidence to the contrary. Now historian Sara Day corrects the record with this fascinating chronicle of Hale and Freeman’s secret romance. With extensive research into the lives of both figures, Day also succeeds in cracking the lovers’ code.
