Book Life on Tilt

Download or read book Life on Tilt written by John Blowers and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-04 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From a galaxy five billion light years away, come's an ancient and powerful life-form. Pulled through a black hole, is one of that galaxies most powerful star ships, the peace keeper ship called The Bata Star. The Captain's of these ships are called Guardian. These Guardians are enhanced beings with the wisdom and the power to stop interstellar wars and keep the peace. Finding themselves in an uncharted galaxy, with no way to return home, they learn that they are dying from the effect of the Black Hole. With little or no options, they search for a life-form like themselves, and to offer the great ship to those who would swear to obey the laws of Guardian and to use the great ship for the purposes it was made for. To keep the peace and help those in need. As they searched through this unfamiliar galaxy, they find the planet Earth, where billions of life-forms known as humans, live in turmoil and distrust. The laws of Guardian would not let the Captain of this Guardian ship give such power to a life-form so hostel. So a plan was formed, to offer a new life to those humans dying of an illness that Earth doctors can't cure. Then take them to a new world, were they can live in peace. After the Bream Guardian and his crew died, the new Guardian and his crew took the great ship and thirty five thousand humans, to a new world called Aldera. Before they could celebrate their new life, they met a life-form who preferred conflict over peace. As in the past, peace is something humans had to fight for. A battle for their very existence was unavoidable. This story is full of profiles, clairvoyance powers, telekinetic ability, hand to hand combat, romance, fold-drives, huge battles in space and entire planets exploding. This is the first of an eight book series, where mankind leaves Earth and travels throughout the galaxy, hoping to finally find peace.

And it seems that he may be about to do so, until he’s blindsided by the unexpected attentions of Janine Igwash. Suddenly Stan is no longer thinking about jump shots. Instead he is obsessed with Janine’s spiky hair, her milky white shoulders and the mysterious little tattoo at the base of her neck, not to mention the heat of her breath, her dark eyes, wide hips and ... Then Stan’s father arrives on the scene with Stan’s four-year-old half brother, and things become truly insane. Book Life on Tilt

Download or read book Life on Tilt written by John Blowers and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-04 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Inspiration, Challenge, and Hope - A Set of Spiritual Poems to Inspire, Challenge, and Give You Hope" is a book containing sixty seven poems that represent, what could be, different stages of one's own spiritual journey in the Lord. They represent the author's own spiritual journey during a two decade period (from 1980 - 2001). Several of them could be classified as messages toward others and/or the church as a whole but mostly reflect the spiritual thoughts and feelings of the author at the time each one was given. It is the hope of the author that others may share and be blessed, in the reading of these poems, to having similar experiences in their own journey and thus be comforted, encouraged, and challenged to a deeper walk with God.

Book excerpt: As a successful young urbanite, Bridget Fox experiences the typical joys and struggles of youthful New Yorkers, and she has happy expectations for her new family. But when her daughter Maeve is diagnosed with autism, Bridget's life as she knew it and her idealistic images of the perfect family are shattered. She tries to lean on her husband, her father, her best friend, but none can help her reconstruct her world as other tragic challenges begin to surface. But as she tries to choose between insanity and oblivion, Bridget discovers that matters are not nearly so simple-or so hopeless-as she once believed. Elizabeth Burns weaves the beauty and imagery of her poetic voice into a story of pain, humor, struggle and ultimate redemption. Bravely intimate, astonishing in its honesty, Tilt walks a path that most "normal" novels fear to tread as it follows the journey of a woman desperate enough to fall-and strong enough to survive.

Book excerpt: Tilting your gaze is about seeing life differently. "What causes change are "Wisdoms". Book Notes From The Tilt A Whirl

Download or read book Notes From The Tilt A Whirl written by N. D. Wilson and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2013-08-06 with total page 137 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is this World? What kind of place is it? "The round kind. The spinning kind. The moist kind. The inhabited kind. The kind with flamingos (real and artificial). The kind where water in the sky turns into beautifully symmetrical crystal flakes sculpted by artists unable to stop themselves (in both design and quantity). The kind of place with tiny, powerfully jawed mites assigned to the carpets to eat my dead skin as it flakes off. The kind with people who kill and people who love and people who do both... "This world is beautiful but badly broken." "I love it as it is, because it is a story, and it isn't stuck in one place. It is full of conflict and darkness like every good story, a world of surprises and questions to explore. And there's someone behind it; there are uncomfortable answers to the how's and whys and what's. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through Him were all things made... Welcome to His poem. His play. His novel. Let the pages flick your thumbs."

Book Differently Wired

Download or read book Differently Wired written by Deborah Reber and published by Workman Publishing. This book was released on 2018-06-12 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today millions of kids are stuck in a world that doesn't respect, support, or embrace who they really are—these are what Deborah Reber is calling the “differently wired” kids, the one in five children with ADHD, dyslexia, Asperger’s, giftedness, anxiety, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodifferences. Their challenges are many. But for the parents who love them, the challenges are just as hard—struggling to find the right school, the right therapist, the right parenting group while feeling isolated and harboring endless internal doubts about what’s normal, what’s not, and how to handle it all. But now there’s hope. Written by Deborah Reber, a bestselling author and mother in the midst of an eye-opening journey with her son who is twice exceptional (he has ADHD, Asperger’s, and is highly gifted), Differently Wired is a how-to, a manifesto, a book of wise advice, and the best kind of been-there, done-that companion. On the one hand it’s a book of saying NO, and how it’s time to say no to trying to fit your round-peg kid into society’s square holes, no to educational and social systems that don’t respect your child, no to the anxiety and fear that keep parents stuck. And then it’s a book of YES. By offering 18 paradigm shifts—what she calls “tilts”— Reber shows how to change everything. How to “Get Out of Isolation and Connect.” “Stop Fighting Who Your Child Is and Lean In.” “Let Go of What Others Think.” “Create a World Where Your Child Can Feel Secure.” “Find Your People (and Ditch the Rest).” “Help Your Kids Embrace Self-Discovery.” And through these alternative ways of being, discover how to stay open, pay attention, and become an exceptional parent to your exceptional child.

Book The Stack and Tilt Swing

Download or read book The Stack and Tilt Swing written by Michael Bennett and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2009-11-12 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An in-depth, full-color, step-by-step guide to the new golf swing that has taken the PGA Tour by storm The traditional golf swing requires a level of coordination that few golfers have. So it's no surprise that, despite huge advances in club and ball technology, the average golf handicap in America has dropped by only one stroke since 1990. Maverick golf instructors Michael Bennett and Andy Plummer spent a decade researching the swing, eventually combining physiology and physics to create a method they dubbed the "Stack and Tilt." The result? Big-name pros like Mike Weir, Tommy Armour III, and Aaron Baddeley are already converts, and Bennett and Plummer are now two of the most soughtafter swing coaches in the game. Making these breakthroughs available to everyone, The Stack and Tilt Swing is a handsome, fully illustrated, complete course, packed with more than two hundred full-color photographs that make it easy for golfers at all levels to adopt this radical yet simple approach. Analyzing why the traditional swing won't work for most golfers, the authors explain the importance of keeping the upper body stacked over the lower body, while the spine tilts toward the target during the backswing, greatly reducing the inconsistencies created by the old-fashioned approach. Enhanced with practice routines, a troubleshooting list, test cases, and point-by-point assistance, this is the breakthrough guide to golf's hot new secret weapon.
