Book Life Has Ups and Life Has Dips

Download or read book Life Has Ups and Life Has Dips written by Rene Luis Medina and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-04-12 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did you ever find yourself in a blind corner in life where you felt stuck and didn't know which direction to take? Have you ever struggled with what your purpose in life might be? Did you know that enthusiasm has it's root "in God?" Have you ever considered your gifts and talents to be God's investments so you can be content and successful with your career path? Is it possible that God could bring hurt and betrayal into our lives in order to mold us into what He wants us to be? Did you know that for the sovereignty of God to work in our life, we must give Him that rightful place? Addressing these questions, Rene Luis Medina illustrates the importance of knowing who God has created you to be in order to synchronize your life with his plan. With humor and wit, he describes heart-wrenching lessons learned through his success and failure. Based on Romans 8:28-29, 'Life Has Ups and Life Has Dips' is a dramatic story of faith and trust in the faithfulness and trustworthiness of God. This one of a kind book will captivate your attention and inspire you to look beyond any negative circumstance and lean on the Unchanging God of the Bible. Rene Luis Medina is a preacher, teacher and story teller. With a heart of a pastor, his passion is to discover what God wants him to be rather than being the captain of his own soul. A former ordained minister and administrative bishop, his journey and decision to leave the professional clergy life and thrive within the secular world were not an easy task. Because of his willingness to allow the Unchanging God to define him, Rene found success and contentment in the midst of a challenging economy. Recognizing his God-given gifts and talents, Rene redefined himself in the charity and medical-legal sector. Although he is a seasoned professional with more than twenty years of business experience with proven background in management and administration, Rene is a man after the heart of God. He is married to Charo, his wife of thirty years, and father to his son, Carlos, who just turned eighteen and has entered university in the fall.

Book Cosmic Energy and the Nature s Way in Health and Medicine

Download or read book Cosmic Energy and the Nature s Way in Health and Medicine written by Ko Paandu and published by Partridge Publishing. This book was released on 2015-09-29 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book on Cosmic Energy, Health and Medicine explains about the natural energy around us in everyday life and how we can maximize its use for our health. How our health is connected with the body and mind and explains how disease is due to the disagreement between them. The book explains about allergies and compares it with an enemy. One cannot solve a problem avoiding the enemy. Same way allergy is the one you need to resolve and not avoid. The medicines used over centuries by our forefathers are proven and can be relied upon just as the reliable age old foods we consume to this day. Medicines under modern allopathic system never last even for a decade. Chemicals, herbs and minerals are not medicines. A medicine should act as an energized bullet or a piercing arrow instead of staying behind in our body and creating a host of side effects and other complications. A medicine is supposed to cure the disease of the person and not create a disease basket piling on more diseases. Only the energized medicines which are slow but steady can clear our disease in natures speed and not the fast acting palliative medicines.

Book Integrative Body Mind Spirit Social Work

Download or read book Integrative Body Mind Spirit Social Work written by Mo Yee Lee and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018-03-09 with total page 473 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Integrative therapy focuses on the mind-body-spirit relationship, recognizes spirituality as a fundamental domain of human existence, acknowledges and utilizes the mind's power as well as the body's, and reaches beyond self-actualization or symptom reduction to broaden a perception of self that connects individuals to a larger sense of themselves and to their communities. When it was published in 2009, Integrative Body-Mind-Spirit Social Work was the first book to strongly connect Western therapeutic techniques with Eastern philosophy and practices, while also providing a comprehensive and pragmatic agenda for social work, and mental health professionals. This breakthrough text, written by a cast of highly regarded researchers from both Asia and America, presented a holistic, therapeutic approach that ties Eastern philosophy and practical techniques to Western forms of therapy in order to help bring about positive, transformative changes in individuals and families. This second features a major reorganization of Part III: Applications and Treatment Effectiveness, renamed to "Evidence-informed Translational Practice and Evidence." Based on systematic reviews of Integrative body-mind-spirit practices, Part III provides a "resource guide" of different types of integrative practices used in diverse health and mental health conditions. A new companion website includes streaming video clips showing demonstrations of the BMS techniques described in the book and worksheets and client resources/handouts. Here, the authors provide a pragmatic, step-by-step description of assessment and treatment techniques that employ an integrative, holistic perspective. They begin by establishing the conceptual framework of integrative body-mind-spirit social work, then expertly describe, step-by-step, assessment and treatment techniques that utilize integrative and holistic perspectives. Numerous case studies demonstrate the approach in action, such as one with breast cancer patients who participated in body-mind-spirit and social support groups and another in which trauma survivors used meditation to get onto a path of healing. These examples provide solid empirical evidence that integrative body-mind-spirit social work is indeed a practical therapeutic approach in bringing about tangible changes in clients. The authors also discuss ethical issues and give tips for learning integrative body-mind-spirit social work. Professionals in social work, psychology, counseling, and nursing, as well as graduate students in courses on integral, alternative, or complementary clinical practice will find this a much-needed resource that complements the growing interest in alternatives to traditional Western psychotherapy.

Book Inner Winner Finding The Gold That Lies Within

Download or read book Inner Winner Finding The Gold That Lies Within written by Judy Swallow and published by Golden Brick Road Publishing House. This book was released on 2017-11-14 with total page 69 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inner Winner: Finding The Gold That Lies Within, is a story about living in a fear-based consciousness that can be summed up by the statement, not feeling good enough, and lacking the true self-esteem and self-worth that one needs to live a joyful and authentic life. Judy shares her journey about literally, and figuratively, fighting for her life to overcome all her negative self-concepts and self-image. Through a drive and tenacity to understand why life as an adult didn’t feel or look how she envisioned it should, she began to look for answers as to why not. To find these answers, she had to look within and there, underneath all the misconceptions and misunderstandings she had about herself and the world, she found Gold. She shares her story to inspire others and bring light to the possibility that the facades, personas, and roles we play of having it all together and all figured out, may be a hindrance to true joy and love. Her desire is to encourage the reader to look within and begin to cultivate the self-awareness which will become their most valuable “partner” in all relationships and expressions of the self.
