Book excerpt: The scope of this monograph is to show that our classical, quantum and cosmological knowledge of antimatter is at its beginning with much yet to be discovered, and that a commitment to antimatter by experimentalists will be invaluable to antimatter science. This is also the first book presenting the isodual theory of antimatter. It is aimed at scientists and researchers in theoretical physics.

Book Non commutative and Non associative Algebra and Analysis Structures

Download or read book Non commutative and Non associative Algebra and Analysis Structures written by Sergei Silvestrov and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-09-25 with total page 833 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The goal of the 2019 conference on Stochastic Processes and Algebraic Structures held in SPAS2019, Västerås, Sweden, from September 30th to October 2nd 2019 was to showcase the frontiers of research in several important topics of mathematics, mathematical statistics, and its applications. The conference has been organized along the following tracks: 1. Stochastic processes and modern statistical methods in theory and practice, 2. Engineering Mathematics, 3. Algebraic Structures and applications. This book highlights the latest advances in algebraic structures and applications focused on mathematical notions, methods, structures, concepts, problems, algorithms, and computational methods for the natural sciences, engineering, and modern technology. In particular, the book features mathematical methods and models from non-commutative and non-associative algebras and rings associated to generalizations of differential calculus, quantum deformations of algebras, Lie algebras, Lie superalgebras, color Lie algebras, Hom-algebras and their n-ary generalizations, semi-groups and group algebras, non-commutative and non-associative algebras and computational algebra interplay with q-special functions and q-analysis, topology, dynamical systems, representation theory, operator theory and functional analysis, applications of algebraic structures in coding theory, information analysis, geometry and probability theory. The book gathers selected, high-quality contributed chapters from several large research communities working on modern algebraic structures and their applications. The chapters cover both theory and applications, and are illustrated with a wealth of ideas, theorems, notions, proofs, examples, open problems, and results on the interplay of algebraic structures with other parts of Mathematics. The applications help readers grasp the material, and encourage them to develop new mathematical methods and concepts in their future research. Presenting new methods and results, reviews of cutting-edge research, open problems, and directions for future research, will serve as a source of inspiration for a broad range of researchers and students.

Book Foundations of Hadronic Chemistry

Download or read book Foundations of Hadronic Chemistry written by R.M. Santilli and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2001-10-31 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Physicist's Perspective on the Insufficiencies and Generalizations of Quantum Chemistry My Undergraduate and Graduate Studies in Italy on the Insufficiencies of Quantum Mechanics and Chem istry I was first exposed to quantum chemistry during my undergraduate courses in physics at the University of Naples, Italy, in the late 1950s. My teacher was Prof. Bakunin, a well known lady chemist in Europe at that time, who escaped from Russia with her family during the ad vent of communism. My three exams with her (inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and laboratory chemistry) were, by far, the most dif ficult exams of my life (although I did please Prof. Bakunin during the examinations) . Besides chemistry, during my undergraduate studies I plunged into the study of physics, with particular reference to quantum mechanics and its mathematical structure. My mathematics teacher was Prof. Cac cioppoli, one of the most famous Italian mathematicians of that time, who taught me the necessity of advanced mathematics for quantitative physical studies. By reading the works of the founders of contemporary physics, it was easy for me to see the lack of final character of quantum mechanics already in these undergraduate studies.

Book Encyclopaedia of Mathematics

Download or read book Encyclopaedia of Mathematics written by Michiel Hazewinkel and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-12-01 with total page 540 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF MATHEMATICS aims to be a reference work for all parts of mathe matics. It is a translation with updates and editorial comments of the Soviet Mathematical Encyclopaedia published by 'Soviet Encyclopaedia Publishing House' in five volumes in 1977-1985. The annotated translation consists of ten volumes including a special index volume. There are three kinds of articles in this ENCYCLOPAEDIA. First of all there are survey-type articles dealing with the various main directions in mathematics (where a rather fine subdivi sion has been used). The main requirement for these articles has been that they should give a reasonably complete up-to-date account of the current state of affairs in these areas and that they should be maximally accessible. On the whole, these articles should be understandable to mathematics students in their first specialization years, to graduates from other mathematical areas and, depending on the specific subject, to specialists in other domains of science, en gineers and teachers of mathematics. These articles treat their material at a fairly general level and aim to give an idea of the kind of problems, techniques and concepts involved in the area in question. They also contain background and motivation rather than precise statements of precise theorems with detailed definitions and technical details on how to carry out proofs and constructions. The second kind of article, of medium length, contains more detailed concrete problems, results and techniques.

Book Second International Conference on Algebra

Download or read book Second International Conference on Algebra written by Leonid Arkadʹevich Bokutʹ and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1995 with total page 466 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains papers presented at the Second International Conference on Algebra, held in Barnaul in August 1991 in honour of the memory of A. I. Shirshov (1921--1981). Many of the results presented here have not been published elsewhere in the literature. The collection provides a panorama of current research in PI-, associative, Lie, and Jordan algebras and discusses the interrelations of these areas with geometry and physics. Other topics in group theory and homological algebra are also covered.

Book Frontiers of Fundamental Physics

Download or read book Frontiers of Fundamental Physics written by M. Barone and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 588 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Olympia conference Frontiers of Fundamental Physics was a gathering of about hundred scientists who carryon their research in conceptually important areas of physical science (they do "fundamental physics"). Most of them were physicists, but also historians and philosophers of science were well represented. An important fraction of the participants could be considered "heretical" because they disagreed with the validity of one or several fundamental assumptions of modern physics. Common to all participants was an excellent scientific level coupled with a remarkable intellectual honesty: we are proud to present to the readers this certainly unique book. Alternative ways of considering fundamental matters should of course be vitally important for the progress of science, unless one wanted to admit that physics at the end of the XXth century has already obtained the final truth, a very unlikely possibility even if one accepted the doubtful idea of the existence of a "final" truth. The merits of the Olympia conference should therefore not be judged a priori in a positive or in a negative way depending on one's refusal or acceptance, respectively, but considered after reading the actual of basic principles of contemporary science, new proposals and evidences there presented. They seem very important to us.

Book Encyclopaedia of Mathematics set

Download or read book Encyclopaedia of Mathematics set written by Michiel Hazewinkel and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1994-02-28 with total page 982 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Encyclopaedia of Mathematics is the most up-to-date, authoritative and comprehensive English-language work of reference in mathematics which exists today.
