Book Leyendas Historicas Mexicanas Classic Reprint

Download or read book Leyendas Historicas Mexicanas Classic Reprint written by Heriberto Frias and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-11-18 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Leyendas Historicas Mexicanas One of the greatest problems in the world today is that of the latin-american Indian. In nearly every country in Latin America, Indian blood decidedly predominates Over European blood; moreover, as time goes on, the white blood tends to disappear, and the white race to be absorbed by the native peoples. Sooner or later the basal population Of most of Latin America will\come to be a mixed European and Indian race, in which the Indian element will be by far the larger of the two. At the present time as has been the case Since the Span ish conquest the numerical predominance of the Indians does not help them much. The white race, being intellectu ally the stronger, and possessing all the. Wealth and elements of force in society, has held the natives in subjection, and kept them practically voiceless. The civilization of the small group Of whites has been grafted upon the great mass Of natives, and their own elaborate and oftentimes excellent Civilizations destroyed. The languages, the literature, the religion, the arts, and the political institutions Of Europe have been transplanted to the western hemisphere, and have been strongly and tenaciously upheld by a small group Of Europeans living in the midst of a great number of natives}.

Download or read book La leyenda de El Dorado y otros mitos del Descubrimiento de Am rica written by Christian Kupchick and published by Ediciones Nowtilus. This book was released on 2010 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
