Twiggs informs the governor of recent alleged attacks by unnamed Indians on the inhabitants of Greene County, Georgia. Twiggs reports that a party pursued the Indians but were forced to halt and that a block house is desired for the protection of this frontier. Further, Twiggs relays information regarding the "gallant" behavior of Captain Stokes who pursued and killed three Indians and confiscated their weapons. He refers to an extract and an affidavit neither of which are enclosed.
