Download or read book The Emergence of Start ups written by David Heller and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2019-04-29 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In France, the number of young start-ups has soared since the beginning of the 2010s, leading the government to encourage their development and make France the “start-up nation”. This book contributes to a better understanding of the emergence of these companies by studying the influence of the ecosystem on their development and the modes of financing that they use. The financing of start-ups remains a major challenge insofar as they are often faced with refusal from the banks. Successful financing depends largely on the geopolitical and economic environment. Through a comparative study of models from both France and English-speaking countries, the authors explore possible financing solutions for France. The book concludes with a discussion of equity crowdfunding, which proves to be a successful financing alternative. Including theoretical and empirical studies, this book provides concrete solutions aimed at developing innovative entrepreneurship in France.

Finally, we focus on innovation within the financial sector: does it really create value outside the financial sector itself. Are Financial innovations value … or risk creators?
Download or read book Le r seau social d entreprise written by Garnier Alain and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2011-05-24 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
This book was released on 2012-11-05 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: La recherche publique française souffre !
Download or read book Le brevet outil de la valorisation et de l innovation written by ACADEMIE DES SCIENCES and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2012-08-06 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Perspectives on Twentieth century Pharmaceuticals written by Viviane Quirke and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2010 with total page 500 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the most striking features of the twentieth century has been the rapid growth of the pharmaceutical industry and the large increases in the use and consumption of its products. This trend began in the first half of the century, but accelerated most sharply after the Second World War, when the creation of national systems of healthcare created mass markets for drugs. The industry then assumed a major economic, social and political significance, and became one of the most highly regulated sectors of the economy, attracting the attention of industry analysts as well as academics. This volume brings together a collection of papers exploring and reflecting upon some of the significant strands in the current studies of pharmaceuticals in the twentieth century. They touch upon many of the issues that are matters of concern and debate today, and their international and multidisciplinary approaches enrich our understanding of an object, of an industry, and of a process that are at the heart of our highly medicalized contemporary societies.

Download or read book Innovation Alliances and Networks in High Tech Environments written by Fiorenza Belussi and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-09-16 with total page 587 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent years have seen a growth in strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions and collaborative networks involving knowledge-intensive and hi-tech industries. However, there have been relatively few studies looking at this form of collaboration as a strategy to drive firms’ innovative performances. This book specifically focuses on the role of strategic alliances, M&A and innovation networks, providing insights on if and how they contribute to boosting firms’ innovation performances. The book has a double purpose. Firstly, it investigates at an industry level the role played by the alliance, M&As and networks in high-tech environments such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, software and nanotechnology in creating, transforming and reshaping the dynamics inside and between industries. Secondly, it explores the impact at the firm level of factors such as cognitive distance, management capabilities, and relational and social capabilities, on firms’ global innovation capacity, measured as innovation quantity, innovation quality and innovation novelty. The book will be of interest to scholars working on the economics of innovation, innovation management studies, strategic management, regional science and evolutionary economics, among other areas.
