Book crire la fronti re

Download or read book crire la fronti re written by Nathalie Martinière and published by Presses Univ. Limoges. This book was released on 2003 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book French theories on text and discourse

Download or read book French theories on text and discourse written by Driss Ablali and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2023-01-30 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It could be alleged that present-day French linguistics is characterized by a specific connection between the epistemology of text and that of discourse. The contributions gathered in this volume aim to reconsider this link – or dichotomy? – in light of the latest research developments. They are organized in three parts: the first explores the text-discourse connection, while the second and third tackle the epistemologies of text and discourse.

Book Fronti res des genres

Download or read book Fronti res des genres written by Merete Stistrup Jensen and published by Presses Universitaires Lyon. This book was released on 2005 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Litt ratures Canadiennes Et Identit s Postcoloniales

Download or read book Litt ratures Canadiennes Et Identit s Postcoloniales written by Marc Maufort and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2002 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume offers challenging assessments of the reconfigurations that have shaped Anglophone and Francophone Canadian literatures in the last decades of the twentieth century. Focusing on the pursuit of an ever-elusive «Canadianness» in literary texts, it documents the astonishing range of Canadian diasporic identities that have recently emerged in the Canadian literary landscape. The contributors to this volume boldly transgress the widely held critical assumptions of postcolonialism in their examination of the literary representations of contemporary Canada's many «Others».

Book Poetics of Reading

Download or read book Poetics of Reading written by Inge Crosman Wimmers and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2014-07-14 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What happens when we read novels and how do we make sense of them? Inge Wimmers explores these questions by developing a flexible poetics of reading that generously opens up the interpretive space between reader and text, while drawing on current theories of reading and combining rhetorical, pragmatic, and phenomenological approaches. "Poetics," here, is extended beyond the study of purely textual features to structures of exchange between text and reader. In a discussion of four major French novels from the seventeenth century to the present, the author not only sets up a broad-based poetics but also makes important contributions to contemporary issues in the study of narrative. Wimmers introduces the concept of multiple, interlocking frames of reference that allows for the integration of diverse critical perspectives. New York, she shows how texts provide some frames of reference, while others are produced by the reader's disposition and cultural milieu. Originally published in 1989. Book Narrating Europe

Download or read book Narrating Europe written by Michael Gehler and published by Nomos Verlag. This book was released on 2022-10-26 with total page 653 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Becket Sans Fronti res

Download or read book Becket Sans Fronti res written by Minako Okamuro and published by Rodopi. This book was released on 2008 with total page 469 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: SBT/A 19 features selected papers from the Borderless Beckett / Beckett sans frontières Symposium held in Tokyo at Waseda University in 2006. The essays penned by eminent and young scholars from around the world examine the many ways Beckett's art crosses borders: coupling reality and dream, life and death, as in Japanese Noh drama, or transgressing distinctions between limits and limitlessness; humans, animals, virtual bodies, and stones; French and English; words and silence; and the received frameworks of philosophy and aesthetics. The highlight of the volume is the contribution by Nobel Laureate J. M. Coetzee, the special guest of the Symposium. His article entitled "Eight Ways of Looking at Samuel Beckett" introduces a variety of novel approaches to Beckett, ranging from a comparative analysis of his work and Melville's Moby Dick to a biographical observation concerning Beckett's application for a lectureship at a South African university. Other highlights include innovative essays by the plenary speakers and panelists - Enoch Brater, Mary Bryden, Bruno Clément, Steven Connor, S. E. Gontarski, Evelyne Grossman, and Angela Moorjani - and an illuminating section on Beckett's television dramas. The Borderless Beckett volume renews our awareness of the admirable quality and wide range of approaches that characterize Beckett studies.
