A travers une etude menee au centre de soins dentaires de Nantes de novembre 2009 a fevrier 2010 sur les criteres de choix d'une pate dentifrice par les patients, il apparait que le chirurgien dentiste se doit de jouer un role preponderant dans le conseil et la prescription de dentifrice aupres des patients afin de renforcer la motivation a l'hygiene de ceux-ci.
